If the rosters are just still random DD squads and not at all accurate to the actual WBC then this is kind of pointless.
Going up against a Team Mexico with seven white dudes in the lineup isn't really capturing the spirit of the event.

Well, they do include birthplace on every card so they could pull from that but some of these countries will not have enough players
Here is the 2025 data. I wonder if the WBC license allows them to use all of the player names? Why may not get accurate models in that case but it would be a start.

The WBC mini season awards (only 9 packs) implies that either a) mini seasons are way shorter or the packs in this WBC one are better (ie maybe the WBC packs.

You can't see all of the next one but the Classic mode one shows more XP and more Stubs (WBC shows 0 stubs)
My guess is that with this being an release day mini season that they are severely restricting the rewards. I am still hoping the "and more" are at least the stadiums (maybe some uniforms but I don't card about those)

It's cool they are adding to the WBC content in DD, but without access to the actual teams/players it's literally just a regular Mini Seasons with some WBC dressing.
I do hope that they are able to secure a good amount of names that will be participating who aren't currently in MLB such as Didi Gregorious.

If the mode follows the actual WBC, winning the championship will only take a total of 7 games. If these are 3 innings, it might be a decent play.

@GoozeFn_PSN why? 9 innings vs cpu would be torture. The only chance of ever losing against the cpu is in a 3 inning game making it 9 would just be extremely boring and something people would only suffer through once.

@GradektheBard_PSN 7 9-inning games would be similar to the 20+ 3-inning mini season games in terms of total innings.

Last time they had non-MLB players as WBC cards. I wouldn’t count on them having every player, but I’d expect a decent amount and fake players to round out the teams.
