Option to Skip HS and College Play?
-
Will there be an option to skip HS and College play and go straight to the draft? With maybe the option of spending 1-4 years in college to gain extra XP, as it was in The Show 17? Or, like last year, is SDS saying, "we put a lot of time and effort into this so you will have to slog through it whether you want to or not." Having the option works for both those who want the entire experience or wants to go straight into the minor leagues.

@pwyinokc_MLBTS You’ve always been able to enter the draft from high school just like in real life.

far as I know in MLB The Show 25, the only thing you HAD TO DO was play in HS... Senior Day, Playoff Game (if you weren't solely a starting pitcher, if your were an SP your team automatically went to Championship Game) & Championship Game (if your team advanced)... from there if you selected to skip combine you would go straight to the draft and then from there you could chose to go to college or start your pro career in the minors.
From what I saw on the feature for Road To The Show, I'm thinking you could still do the same thing, and you can even opt to skip the draft and go straight to college... I imagine the same thing applies this year with skipping and/or playing combine after HS and going to draft and then selecting to start pro career instead of going to college... and then in college this year you start as a junior and if you opt to go to college and play through the CWS you will have option to stay in college as a senior or go to draft and turn pro... I hope you get an opportunity to play the Combine after your college season ends but from what I've seen you will be able to turn pro and start in the minors almost immediately... the only required games will be the High School games... not sure how many there will be this year since they said they expanded that part of the game a little but last year you played 2-3 games in HS and then from there like I said skip combine, get drafted, opt to turn pro instead of going to college and you will be playing Double A minor league games in no time flat.
