    Hello,

I would like to ask whether the Athletics’ real-world relocation will be officially reflected in MLB The Show 26.

As many fans know, the Athletics are currently in a transitional phase:
    • temporary home games in West Sacramento, and
    • a planned full relocation to Las Vegas in the near future.

My question is whether this situation will be represented in the game through:
    • official team location or naming,
    • stadium assignments, or
    • default Franchise Mode settings,

rather than requiring players to manually relocate or rebrand the team.

I understand that relocation mechanics already exist in Franchise Mode, but since this is an ongoing and well-documented real-world change, it would be great to know if there are plans for any official implementation or acknowledgment in MLB The Show 26.

Thanks in advance, and I’m interested to hear other players’ thoughts as well.

That's a current view of the ballpark construction. I have no inside information but since they are scheduled to play their home games in the same ballpark as in 2025 my guess is they will play their games in Sutter Park in Sacramento again.

It does seem like it's taking a very long time to build that ballpark. It took about 2 years to build the new ballpark in St Louis. I don't know details of why they moved out of Oakland but they must have had serious issues with the city to play in Sacramento until the new park is ready.

Since the real life Athletics don't use either San Jose or Vegas, I don't see why The Show version would use either nonclamenture.

The Vegas stadium doesn't exist yet. When it does, no doubt it'll be included. None of the other recent builds (Atlanta, Texas) were included until the team officially moved in.
