Sliding while stealing

I know how to slide regularly while running the bases when the ball is hit in play, but when stealing, how do I slide on the far side of the bag, so I am further away from the tag? I see kevin GohD do it all the time when he steals so I am just curious. Thanks!

Wow, I played this game for years and always thought you could just go straight in headfirst or footfirst. That’s awesome to learn, better late than never I guess.
