My problem/issue with PS Programs. Especially the WS Program.

You have Miguel Rojas, who hit .260ish this year, and because he hit ONE home run, his first since the AS break and his 8th the WHOLE year, gets a 99 ovr card.
Yet, there are MULTIPLE Legends, whom Rojas couldnt even carry their gym bags, sitting WITHOUT 99s.
Its just as bad as the 2025 Topps Chrome where someone who had 1 AB or pitched 1 inning received an auto.

The problem isnt the Rojas card, which is rather weak for this time of year.
Its that they have done a poor job of mixing in legends this year.
The Castro chase card was far, far worse. Rojas Im guessing isnt even a top 100 card in the game. That Castro card was top 5.
And the Topps now cards are always non meta cards, purposefully behind the curve

I kind of have the same issue. I understand why they do it, because the community would go nuts otherwise, but seeing Vlad Jr get the best offensive card in the game (attribute wise) for a series in which was not even his best postseason series is kind of insane.
They kind of did bury the Legends this year. Stan Musial (22nd best offensive card in the game) and Greg Maddux (16th in overall score for pitchers) were just throw away cards in a Spooky program that culminated in Ketel Marte (9th best offensive card based on attributes)

The top 10 offensive players should at no time include Marte and Vlad Jr, unless they have Judge type years
Since the only mode that matters online is god squad, there is pressure by the community to always have the newest cards be the best.
This is why I really think they should move towards a salary cap mode with rotating positional limits so they don't feel compelled to make every card a 99.

This forum has become nothing but complaint after complaint! Stop playing the game!! For us diehards the show keeps getting better and better!! This years grind has been no match to other games!!

Complaints always get more traction than praise. I made a post praising the Spooky program and it got buried.
Yes, we do take it for granted that Madden, CFB, NBA2K, etc are all terrible and The Show isn't. But that doesnt mean that there havent been some steps backward in some areas. And usage of the legends roster is one of them.

@girldad4_MLBTS I agree with on the first part, but this is not the best version of the Show. Team Affinity was bad this year. Finest Team Affinity is just going to be a voucher exchange and there will be nothing left to do. I agree with your central point but I really miss having a ton of content to grind.
