Really?

This awful game strikes again. How are we able to bring in other starting pitchers and there not be a stamina penalty lmfao. If we can just put in starting pitchers in the 5th or 6th inning why even make relief pitcher cards? Why even use them? You can just keep putting in 99 starters and cycle them out of your line up for a full stamina starter that was on your bench. Literally no penalty. I remember a few games ago if you put a starter in that originally didn’t start they had [censored] near red stamina. Wonder who cried to get that changed haha

I see this brought up every now and then and I never understand why this makes people upset. At this stage, you’re either going to face a 99 SP or a 99 RP. Not sure why one is preferable to the other.
To quote a very wise Space Ranger: “Sid’s house? Andy’s house? What’s the difference?”

Buzz's statement wasn't very wise. -
I mean real pitchers who didn’t just pitch can pitch and not be tired and can’t you just do the same thing with your own pitchers?

One can regard this as a game weakness, or accept that it does mimic something existing in real baseball, albeit very rarely.
In real baseball, you cannot bring in starters to win one game without severely degrading your ability to win future games. So, rarely is it ever done. Since online head-to-head games are one single game and the rosters reset to default after that game ends, there is no penalty or risk for unloading your entire bullpen, starters included.
This is done in deciding games of the postseason, where there is no tomorrow if the team doesn't win the game. But, even then, normally only one or perhaps two starters are brought into the game, and at least one is kept firmly on the bench to start the next game should his team win the current game.
Is there a proper answer to this online game issue? Yes, there could easily be a solution where each online game is treated like part of the regular season and each player chooses his starter and then the rest of the starting rotation is no longer selectable. Relief appearances in the game are restricted to relief pitchers. This seems like a reasonable solution and it would certainly mimic regular season baseball games.

If someone wants to unload their entire starting rotation to try and win one game, be my guest. They just wont have anyone for the next 4 games. I would understand this more if it was April and people were bringing in Roger Clemens from the bullpen, but starters and relievers have balanced out now. Starters and relievers are about equal in terms of how hard they are to hit, does it really matter?
