Weekend Classic

@Dharper_23_PSN Same and also in Silver II. 0-4. have lost 2 in the bottom of the ninth/10th. Hung with the WS players but lost by 5 runs or so in each. That's just weekend classic...

They have to learn that rating does not represent how good a player is, just like avg does not represent how good a hitter is. A more complex measurement is needed.

Im sorry what? What kind of backwards ideology is that? Rating doesn't determine how good someone is? Oh okay so a player who barely gets out od spring training at 400 rating is just as good as a 1000 rates legend player? That's like saying a high school team is as good as a college team or a pro team. Seriously guy re-think that train of thought.

@CarlosLBJ23_PSN
Wellโฆthatโs quite the interesting take -
You can get a WS badge if you play enough games of weekend classic staying on ur difficulty and not jumping to legend and HOF. So they either did the COOP glitch or played a lot of weekend classic. Good WS players will want to play on the harder difficulties.

@Rhyno1986_XBL rating does not measure if you can hit, pitch or defend, it only cares about who wins, not always the best player wins especially in sports video games like this one (freezes off, handicap, luck, bugs, disconnections ...) and on top of that a WS player can manipulate his rating to stay on lower difficulties. Rating has to be more complex because winning does not make me better than you or Rockies and Dodgers are at the same level because the tied 2-2 their last series?

@Rhyno1986_XBL relax tf? Just his opinion. No need to go be an [censored].

That is a valid argument but a WS badge obtained through CoOp guit glitch or just in general does not effect YOUR personal ranked record. So again it still shows rank is at least a fairly good indicator of skill level. Because even if you stayed on All-star at 600 rating you'd still have to win enough in order to get to WS. This still means that the metric or rating would show that player is capable or winning 2-3 more games a run then losing.

That is a false statement on 3 of your 4 points. It is directly effected to hiw well you can hit and pitch. Why? Because I've played players in the 800-870 (where I normally play) that have a low overall average with thier cards, but can pitch like crazy. Inversely I have also played people who have crazy averages with thier cards, but throw the same 3 pitches in the same pattern and location all game with every pitch they use and get shelled. The only thing it doesn't show is fielding anf that is because fielding is fairly random and based on CPU random animations. As well as you are correct we have seen plenty of higher rated players intentionally tank thier record to play an easier WC experience. Still shows that their record is rating is a good metric of player skill. Why? Because again as they win even in WC after tanking thier record they would have to win more games then losing in that lower skill rating which would increase thier record and rating. This is why SDS needs to use Highest overall lifetime rating for WC placement and not just taking when WC starts.

When the season resets, so does your rank. If a 800-900 level player didn't play much, you would match up with them.
-
If Iโm in the 0-399 bracket why am I facing World Series players that are currently ranked over 500? This is the part that doesnโt make sense to me

So what does measure your skill? How many cards you have?
