Full Disclosure: I own 1000 cards that I scooped up when he was a 63 common. Now here's my complaint: Why is he still a 63 common?!? SDS has been very aggressive in upgrading and downgrading players this year....but apparently the best reliever on one of the best teams in baseball doesnt exist. Give him a topps now or potm card for all care if you don't want to upgrade his live series...but please stop acting like the man doesnt exist.

SDS is weird sometimes with relievers , some guys get diamond cards no matter what and other go ignored. Pitcher Will Smith despite being one of the best lefties never really go one. Andrew Chafin, I think has had one diamond cards, despite always being around 3ish era. But James Karnishak had one good year and got 5 diamonds. You never know who they’re going to choose and why. A lot of it seems like BR favorites and guys that have a decent moment.

Does his card even have outlier? Dude hits 102 with regularity.
-
It’s his first good year and he’s only pitched 37 innings this year; I do agree that a high bronze at the least is warranted next update.
-
@Jcassaro44_MLBTS I think Chafin should be higher too. He at least has good pitch break stats...so usable in moonshot or BR.
-
@Bob_Loblaw1984_PSN No outlier. And yes...the gun is always 101/102.

Even as a Cardinals fan who hates to give any credit to the Cubs I would say that he needs to get an update.
He is only 5 innings short of matching his total from the previous two seasons combined.
His K/9 is exactly the same as last year so that number would not change.
But he dropped his BB/9 from 8.6 last season to 2.6 this season but he still has 27 bb/9 in the game. That attribute needs a huge boost.
He dropped his h/9 from 8.6 last year to 5.3 this year. That attribute needs an upgrade.
Looking at other random 63 overall players a lot of them have also had no updates. Maybe SDS figures that not many people care about them so they just don't bother.

Yeah I can never understand how they do relievers. Last year Hensley kept dropping down each attribute change yet he wins reliever of the year. Danny Coulombe is having a career year and was under .8 era last attribute change and he drops down. They really need to change how they do relief pitchers

Corbin Martin is still a 45 overall, hoping he gets that upgraded. I was at his first save a couple days ago

It's very simple. They have one formula for pitchers and it relies heavily on K/9 and H/9
It did not matter how many saves they had or what their ERA was. Last year Helsley led the league in saves and had a 2.04 ERA but because his H/9 went up from 5.4 to 6.9 and his k/9 wen down from 12.8 to 10.7 they gave him downgrades all year.
It's a flawed system that will never reward pitch to contact guys or guys who rely on soft contact instead of K's.

I hope they do a deadline thing, a lot of good relievers have been traded and it would be fun to get upgrades and diamonds on some of these guys.
