All Star uniform errors
-
While SDS got the reality correct for the actual All Star game -- putting the players in their default home and road team uniforms, they got the special All-Star uniforms wrong in the Home Run Derby.
First, they put the NL team players in the AL uniforms and the AL team players in the NL uniforms. Additionally, they have the players wearing their normal regular season uniform numbers. The reality is that MLB put the number three on the backs of all the AL uniforms to honor Babe Ruth and the number 44 on the backs of all the NL uniforms to honor Hank Aaron.
Since MLB The Show already models putting the number 42 on the backs of all uniforms for the annual Jackie Robinson Day game, the code to implement this actual MLB plan is there.
MLB made a public announcement of all these plans several months back, even before the first release of MLB The Show 25, so SDS should have gotten these details correct.
