This post is for the justice of Ranger Suarez.

9 straight quality starts. Allowing 9 total runs over that span. An inflated 2.08 era from a bad start at the beginning of the season.

He’s a 77 overall and has been playing better than most of the best pitchers in baseball. Need him diamond ASAP! Take a look and you will see.

He should be diamond before Rasmussen… it’s not even close.

Thoughts? Need the devs to see this ong.

Well, first things first, ERA does not count at all. H/9, K/9 and BB/9 do count because they correspond with the attributes.

    Hits per 9
    Rasmussen 6.5
    Suarez 7.1

    Strikeouts per 9
    Suarez 8.2
    Rasmussen 7.7

    Walks per 9
    Rasmussen 2.1
    Suarez 2.2

Based on those three stats alone, it looks like they should have similar overalls. Lets look beyond that.

I was right, the cards are not that different in their core attributes. Not enough to account for the 7 point difference. The real difference between the cards is PCLT. Rasmussen has an 85 and Suarez has a 46. I have no idea how SDS computes that

Suarez may have been hampered by having only started his season in May. He only had 3 starts before the first roster update that he could have been included in and 7 before the roster update he was included in. The next attribute update will be the third since he started pitching again.

My guess.. He gets a healthy bump, maybe even to gold but he ain't catching Rasmussen unless Rasmussen gets a downgrade. It's extremely rare to see a card jump that much in one update.

I still think that has changed. They have not mentioned that in many years.

The way I see it the three year rolling stats are used to calculate the players starting attributes and overall for the new season. Then they adjust from that point based on the stats.

Why do I think that? Alejandro Kirk got a

    +20 contact R
    +14 Contact L
    +6 Pwr R
    +18 CLT

You cant convince me that Kirk performed so well in the 3-4 weeks between attribute updates that he made that big of a difference to a 3 year average.

Plus, if it was true 3 years rolling stats then guys would start the year at the same overall as they ended the previous season. But they don't, which is why I think 3 year averages are only used for the initial rating each year.

@Dolenz_PSN I’m not sure how much work this would be to do and it’s a little charrypicked for Ranger but even like the last 8 to 9 starts and compare them. I feel like Ranger has been insane ever since the one bad one that inflates his year right now.

I just think now with his history in past years being mainly gold and diamond he would get more respect. The last 2 roster updates he’s been closer to a 1 era than a 2. I feel like for his history and the recent performances a 77 is pretty low. Hopefully he gets his bump. He probably won’t catch Rasmussen but I’d say as of the recent past 5 or 6 weeks he’s definitely been outperforming him. Rasmussen has been getting hit around quite a bit since the roster updates before last which is why I think he’s definitely didn’t go diamond last update. Honestly if he doesn’t have a good start before Friday I’m not sure he’s a lock to go up this update. I just want Ranger to get his justice man because a 77 I feel like is wild even if he did a have a rough start in the beginning of may with the back issues.

@Dolenz_PSN look at the last 3 ERA+ of both; Rasmussen big advantage 23-24 and this year in line with the other 2 (consistent) and Suarez really high this year in a smaller sample.

Adjustments are coming, but it’s not an insane gap in ratings considering.

To add: Kirk has everything up in a big way relative to last 2 years: counting stats, ratings, advanced. Everything good way up and everything bad down.

They probably temper the upgrades not to overreact and adjust as sample sizes grow.

Isn't pitching clutch based on opponents batting average with runners in scoring position. Just like batting clutch is for hitters.
