How are ratings determined?
-
I was wondering if anyone can help me with understanding how the ratings are determined. I am on the Astros live series and noticing Hader has -6 on h/9 and k/9 despite being solid his last few outings, I don't understand why it is saying he is down from 88 to 86 and -6 on those two stats despite being good the last few weeks. Same thing with Bryan Abreu, before last night he had been unhittable, better season that Hader as far as era and strikeouts, but it has him down from 77 to 75 with -5 on h/9 and k/9, though he had been unhittable, and how is he a silver while Hader is a diamond? I've noticed some hot hitters are the same, where they have points take off on contact or power and their overall is also lower even though they are red hot, and then some are doing okay and they have a lot of points added to contact and power. Thanks in advance for helping me understand if anyone can help me with this. Just very curious as it doesn't make sense to me

There is an inside edge tab on the card details that will tell you why.
He looks like he is being docked because left handers with similar repertoires have fared badly against the A's the last two years.
