For those of us who like to create legendary players that aren't in the game we would like to be able to have them wear the numbers that they wore for the team that retired them. I.E. Joe DiMaggio wearing 5 or Sandy Koufax wearing 32. We used to be able to do this in the past. For some reason we aren't able to do that this year.
However, if I create Jackie Robinson (yes I know he's already included in the game) he can wear 42 and it doesn't automatically change even though it's retired league wide.
Why is this @SDS_JoeK_PSN I have asked this question repeatedly. And so have others. It would be nice to, at least, have it acknowledged.
We would like to be able to have Frank Robinson on the Reds or Orioles be able to wear 20. Or, Keith Hernandez wear 17 with the Mets. Or, Dizzy Dean wear 17 on the Cardinals.

I created Mariano Rivera but named him Jackie Robinson. He could wear 42. When I changed the name back to Mariano Rivera it automatically changed his number to 43.
