I guess Thome and Ford are what the Flash of the Past will look like? No Topps art and with an old time-ish looking picture, but still a year attached to the card. Wroks for me.
And yes that Nimmo will likely be my first p5 of the year, unless they changed his swing.

That's fine. Not every card is for every player.
I think too many people expect every release to always be an upgrade to their existing squad or it is considered an L.
This program may get me to jump back in where the last Spotlight and Sosa program did not.

Yes! I've been waiting for a chance to use my Yankees for missions. I haven't had that chance in a while.
(NOT disparaging Lou Gehrig day, which is obviously very important. But it's not like they didn't know the day was coming. They could have held off on other recent Yankee cards)

@dbub_PSN I’d bet the Yankees have the biggest fan base within the game. That coupled with the Yankees dominating legends will always keep them outpacing other teams. I just wish they’d scale back how many Yankees they give in the Spotlight programs etc.

Ford is the actual Topps card for that year. I'm assuming Thome was chosen because he had a Topps Heritage card that mimicked the look of Ford's card.
