Why the discrepancy

When i want to know the pitch velocity of the pitcher im facing , if i pause the game it will say something like fb 95 mph but when press r2 it says 96-97 , why the difference.
Also sometimes a pitcher with 98 mph fb is throwing 92mph ? Huh? -
because all of the numbers in this game are off this year. it's really disappointing considering baseball is half numbers. I trust no numbers in 25.

The number you on pause is the avg speed, the number on r2 is the range that makes the average.

@jaychvz_XBL the single number is their average fastball mph or where it sits. So if he averages 95 he will throw 94-96 most of the time. If his pitch count is high and stamina is low, most guys without a badge fastballs will drop velocity towards the end of the game.

@BLAISEBLAISE_PSN same, I use baseballsavant and edit everyone. Their pitch mix, the velocity of all their pitches, the break of their pitches and I use the splits to edit offensive attributes. They can keep their lame attribute upgrades and downgrades. They base power off of HRs lol. Just put some top prospects face scans in the game. I can’t edit the customizable players realistically bc they’re all glitched and can’t edit the velo of their change ups. All the pitches have home type of bug. If it’s not DD, they don’t care about it and it’s starting to show more and more every year. Same game, minimum effort into everything besides DD. No new graphics, no new equipment, ( besides a couple torpedo bats), the same cringey commentary every year, even the soundtrack is garbage and screams woke not baseball . It’s 2025 and they haven’t figured out how to put bullpens in the stadium creator. Just a bunch of pitchers sitting on a bench along the outfield wall lol
