He will never be in this game. End of storyNah, DUI will not prevent him from not being in the game. Matt Bush was DUI and was lucky the person he hit survived. But he was in the game last year. Same thing with Ray Lewis, even though it's not MLB. Mike Vick being the ring leader...if they want him, they'll put him in there. Just don't pick him for your team.
Enjoy waiting. The difference between him and those guys, is he's a murderer for his choices. Matt Bush is in the league, so therefore a member of the PA.
I don’t care if he’s in the game or not, personally. But you can’t tell people he won’t be in the game, when Madden has Lewis and Vick. Bush isn’t in the league anymore. He was a minor leaguer last year. He didn’t get charge with manslaughter because by the grace of God, the person didn’t die while getting ran over.

So by your logic, Hitler was a standup guy because it would be rude / bad karma to say otherwise? Obviously that's an extreme example and Fernandez was nowhere near that level of scumbaggery, but it shows your view is flawed. What you do in life affects how people view you after death. Evidence shows Fernandez was coked up and drunk while driving his boat over 60+ mph and he got people killed. The guy was no saint, and he shouldn't be viewed as one.
That's not even speaking ill of the guy. Those are facts. He was a solid pitcher, but he does not belong in the game and SDS should not go out of their way to acquire his rights just so kids can play with one more OP card in a video game.

Me too, but instead he got drunk, coked up, then wreckless drove a speed boat at night at stupid speeds too close to shore and killed himself and murdered 2 other people.
No rising 3 days later for him... He can rot.

You guys are incredible. So a 23 year old, I won’t say kid, but he ain’t far off, does something extremely stupid involving drugs/alcohol. Shocking. He must be the worst person ever. I’m sure the other people on the boat with him were all sober and were forced to ride with him. I say he deserved it! Good riddance! People are asking for a card in a video game, not a statue of him at your local courthouse.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people in the forum has driven drunk before...even if you think you were sober. I can admit I've done it with people in the car (I felt fine driving but doesn't mean I was under .07).

It’s been a while, but I still feel like it’s too soon. You can’t deny that it’s risky to put him, or any player that passed somewhat recently, regardless of how, is risky. Someone somewhere will be offended, so why open that door. I get in some circumstances it could be “paying homage”, but then it just becomes, “well what about so-and-so, why isn’t he in the game?”

I'm relaxed. I just don't think he should be in this game. Ya, his buddies decided to go on that boat with him to attempt to calm him down because he was angry and reeling. But at the end of the day, he was hammered, coked out and decided to go over 65mph on water. That is stupid fast on water by the way.. he wasn't partying. He was furious and careless. Just know the facts.

You’re right. It’s just a card in a video game, so why not bring back that breakout Felipe Vazquez from last year. If murdering people (even if unintentional) isn’t enough to keep a guy out of the game, we can’t let a little thing like statutory rape get in the way of having a good pitcher, right?

this subject always rubs people the wrong way, it's unfortunate but he can't be in the game, unfortunately for that same reason(though different circumstances) we won't see players like Bon...I mean Reggie Stocker, Clemens, Sosa.
