Decided to do the 2nd Inning Showdown again for the stubs, XP, and packs.
Go into the final Boss (Feller) tied 15-15.
I'm thinking this is in the bag.
Well, 124 pitches later, 100 of them FBs, I lose. I didn't get ONE single run!
I worked each AB to at least a 3-2 count. If I was fouling off pitch after pitch, I was either hitting ground balls into DPs, if I was lucky enough to draw a walk, or warning track shots with NOBODY on base.
I'll keep playing. But seriously?

How many walks did you get? I know someone on the forum said they ended up with 9 walks (4 straight), 2 or 4 hits, and a win. Lucky me, I ended up with Giles.

This Showdown has been giving me fits.
One question, If you got a guy on, did you ever consider going small ball?
Bunt him over twice and get a fly ball. -

I had about 8 walks. But they were spaced out and after EVERY walk, II either hit a pop up or grounded into a double play.
I didn't even get one runner into scoring position. -
If you grounded into double plays why didn't you just bunt 3 times after you got a man on if the game was tied?

Only problem is that most of the FBs that he was throwing were low inbthe zone, so I'd either foul it off, miss it completely, or it would go straight into a dp. Heck, I had mostly RH batters and power hitters to boot. I think master batter/bench player was BO Schoop.
A few of them even bunted pop ups.
