I had to have retina surgery this week which results in me having to be face down for two weeks straight. Anticipating this annoyance, I brought a 120mhz monitor and low response time home from work and set it up where I can have my head resting on the edge of a table and still play. It is essentially all I can do so I’m grinding a lot right now.
While I can’t tell much of a difference in performance over the tv from playing, the results in offline play are tremendously improved over the tv.The other hardware upgrade I made was getting a set of setex thumb stick extensions. I had been using Kontrol freaks, and these blow them away. I had never heard of them until I read the show zone article and figured I’d take a $15 gamble. I’m glad I did and won’t be switching back. No, I’m not affiliated with either company, and no I won’t link them. A simple google search can get you to them, but they just feel more natural and have made hitting so much easier.
Keep in mind I’m seeing all these hitting boosts with one eye. Lol
