What do you guys think about the addition of a “framing” quirk? I believe that in grading and judging the quality of a catcher in real life, there is consideration for how good one is at framing a pitch to get a favorable call. I think about someone like Yadi who is a senior leader and dominated for years at his position.

I’m sort of on the fence about it. At one point, it would be another variable to really help separate the quality and choice of catcher, but it could also be (1) as meaningless as “blocking” appears to be and (2) counter to the precision element the umps call things now (except for check swings of course cause lord knows how many of those are actually wrong).
