This marketplace almost ruins the game
-
I actually like the changes they made in the game play. However, this lack of being able to flip on the marketplace that I can do when I'm at work (where I spend more time than not) almost ruins the game for me.
I like grinding to get rewards, but I also like getting stubs via the marketplace.
SDS went too far. Oh well.
-
SDS can you please make sure that nobody under or over bids me so I can make free stubs?
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN It's not being manipulated by people. If I was bidding against people, I can hang with that. SDS has rigged the marketplace to where there is no difference between the buy now and sell now so what is the point to begin with.
Plus, they are earned stubs not free stubs.......it's still grinding but it's in the marketplace. If SDS wants to remove that option that is on them, but I have the right to say I don't like it, and a bunch of my enjoyment is gone. I can't grind gameplay all day because I'm an adult with ........you might not know this word...........responsibilities.
I mean, you must be able to see how they have done this over the last 4 games? Making it harder and harder to make subs in the marketplace? Are you just trying to be edgy? Do you need a snickers bar?

@Spinal_Tap_N_Die_PSN Seems to me you are only paying attention to the current margins. If you buy a card for slightly over the current highest bid and then sell it for a little less than the current sell value I would agree that their is little profit and very time consuming. If you put it buy orders when there are fewer bids and are willing to wait several hours or days and then you sell at the highest trending value the profits are higher. Once there are stub sales and more content the gaps will widen though. This happens every year and every year someone says it is the worst market ever.

My suggestion is that vice a reply like the one you offered, just block the account of the person you replied to. That way, his nonsense isn't even seen any longer. As far as you are concerned, he doesn't exist any longer.
This method improves the quality of the forums. Interact with responsible people who at least try to be objective and factual in their commentary, vice snide and boorish.

there's other ways to make stubbs off the market, and I'm betting that the margins open up as the year proceeds.

I put five stubs into this lefty reliever for the Tampa Rays. If he goes bronze I plan on quick selling him. 400% profit.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN I know I can invest in players. I know that sometimes like early in the season I was able to make money off common exchange for bronze with the low-cost team bronze being inflated. I have come to the defense of the marketplace before. Up until this year I have always been able to make money with flipping. I was flipping when the range was 100 stubs per flip. That 100-stub margin (after tax) is gone on almost all if not all players. So yes, there still are certain ways to make stubs, but I always made more on flipping real time.
-
@BLAISEBLAISE_PSN I know there are other ways. I'm using those as well. I just wish the margins on the cards were good enough to flip because I actually enjoyed it and it was how I made most of my stubs.

Congrats on getting the LS collection done in September with that method.

@Spinal_Tap_N_Die_PSN right I get it I remember a cpl years ago when they implemented minimum/maximum values, and how much that screwed with my tactics. I was bummed, but figured it out quickly.
As much as I'd like to be able to flip for stubbs like I previously have, overall, I'm glad it's tight right now. it helps the games longevity , value. we want to keep live series expensive, once those go, it's free for all with unlimited resources and everyone has everyone. teams start looking the same, rewards render useless, people stop playing, etc..
-
@BLAISEBLAISE_PSN I can see that. I don't play on-line often so for me the enjoyment is in completing the sets. The only year I ever did it early was 2021 but that was because I was working from home, so I was playing while I was taking phone calls. lol.
Last season I stopped playing for season 2 for personal reasons.

Your right. The market always opens up, same as every year.
-
@Spinal_Tap_N_Die_PSN You are asking them to make it so everyone can get every card just from flipping. The range is still there. You just have to be smarter than others. They can't just make it easy
I've made over a million stubs flipping this market, not because its easy, but because I am better at it than you are.
Figure it out. It's not the companies fault
-
@Spinal_Tap_N_Die_PSN You cannot judge the market on the results you see since friday. The market is pretty crazy right now … If you judge it based on the whole 25-season, you are simply wrong. Flipping is always hard in the beginning of the year, but there are enough options to flip

@stewmagoo_MLBTS Calm down sport. I'm not asking anybody to change anything. I said it wasn't enjoyable for me, and I feel they are going too far in narrowing the market. Don't take it personally if I don't feel like you do. Adults have differing opinions.
