Playing older MLBTS PS4 Disc games on PS5

I have MLB THE SHOW 17 on disc. If I install it on PS5 will it work?

Also, I have MLB THE SHOW 21 on disc. When it came out, I had it on Xbox Series X. now I also have PS5 version on disc which I bought for like $5. If I install the PS5 version of 21, can I start DD over? or since it's synced to my XB account, it'll just copy over my progress from Xbox?
