Does anyone know which team has the worst throwing catcher starting for them? I'm grinding stolen bases for TA and could use some advice as to which team is best to face for that.

I haven’t had very many thrown out by any CPU team this season except when I accidentally ran somebody. I don’t play a whole lot compared to many people, but I know I have at least 25 steals with Acuna (they only gave speed of around 64 for some idiotic reason but does have 99 steal). I also stole quite a few with Elly de la Cruz who is blazing fast. I know I had no trouble stealing against the Rockies, White Sox, or Giants just off the top of my head. The Rockies catcher is off line often.

Not the Giants...I've never been thrown out at 3rd unless i've just gotten a terrible jump...Patrick Bailey threw out 2 guys in a row at third. Both had over 70 speed and 70 steal.

Don’t worry about the team you are facing. Just load your bench with 80+ speed and steal guys and swap them in when a batter reaches 1B and steal 2 times. Will be safe 99% of the time. Rinse and repeat.

Reds and A's. mentioned above the reds catcher has a really bad arm.
I did most of my stealing against the A's, langeliers does have an incredible arm and pop time but the A's pitchers are so slow to the plate that I was able to steal with 80 spd guys and some of them had really poor steal ratings, I was caught at 2nd only 2 or 3 times.
3rd I was caught more so I wouldn't do it with less than high 80s spd and good steal.
Did most of the 90 steals against them(all the quick impact missions) reds are probably better though.

the team or catcher doesn't matter. the key to stealing with anyone with above 73 speed and not get caught 98% of the time is this. From 1B hold R2 then L1 to take a lead. Hold R2 the whole time. When the pitcher glances over or moves his head down. Hit L2 to trigger the steal.
After you hit L2, release R2 the pitcher will pitch the ball and the runner will steal and you will be safe almost everytime. Same process on second to steal 3rd as well.. I have done this since show 20. It works a lot and I have all 3 TA steal missions done by all teams so far this season, and about a dozen of 15 steals per team as well. Try this out and you will see progress and more steals against the cpu.. don't try it online though..

I remember looking into this last year when we had to seal 50 bags for the Shohei Milestone card. Keibert Ruiz (Nats) had the worst combination of arm strength and accuracy. I imagine it's probably more or less the same this year too.

Every team. I've played hundreds of games since launch and I think I've been caught stealing once with a high speed guy and got picked off once.

I love the DQ challenge "Steal 2 bases". Easiest and fastest challenge ever!

Any team. The real question is this: what team is it the easiest to get on base against. That answer is easy. The White Sox. Always.

@TripleH-4481_PSN i haveno idea how everyone steals so easily. I think i have literally one stolen Base since release. And that was against a human online. Anytime i even THINK of leading off (vs cpu which is where i okay most my games) i get successfully picked off. Literally 99 percent of the time. And i only ever even attempt it with speedsters/good base stealers. I never even try anymore. What obvious tips am I missing?

The most obvious is watch the pitchers delivery first.

Best starting pitcher ERA in baseball. Fewest runs allowed in baseball.

    Shaboom!

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN i saw someone mentioning the holding r2 trick, maybe thats the key. I just know that if I even lead a hair, the pitcher immediately throws to the bag. Usually it doesnt work the first time. But if you try even a small lead again, he throws right back and 9/10 times its an easy out. (Which is ridiculous with such a small lead, the baserunner should ALMOST always have plenty of time to get back.)

And if i try to wait a sec for him to be "focusing on the plate"/ready to start his delivery its too late to get ANY lead. Is the leadoff not neccesary at all? So weird. Lol

For the Cardinals it was pretty easy. I just put Victor Scott II on my bench and use him as a pinch runner in almost every game. He already has 3 stolen bases this year so I hope he keeps it up and they bump his steal rating as well.

I wouldn't bother with the leadoff as long as you're using a speed guy. If you're attempting to steal with a guy who's got a 70-72 speed/steal rating, sure it can help....if he's low to mid 90s, doesn't matter
