Updated Player Portraits

Surprised there's no player portraits in the game at it's release state. I know they usually get updated after spring training but will SDS actually update them or did they remove them all together? Not a fan of the rendered portraits. Never made sense of that since they update to whatever uniform they wear in-game rather than just a home uniform like normal player portraits are. Plus they just look goofy.
