Buying The Show on Switch, want to have progress from PlayStation

I want to buy the show 25 on the switch, the digital deluxe version but want my progress from my PlayStation to cross over to the switch for the now and later stuff and don’t currently have any version of the show on the switch. How do I go about doing this to make sure I don’t lose progress or the digital deluxe stuff. Thanks

I’m only buying the game on the switch and won’t have it on my PlayStation, would this still work and all my pre order stuff will still save?

You need a version for each console for cross progression. Only get the standard version for your PS5 since you have the DD for your switch. Make sure your Nintendo account is primary when you link the accounts. If you don't, you won't see the extras from the DD version until you unlink and relink with your Nintendo account being the primary account.

I got a ps4 lol so I can’t even buy it so I guess I can’t do cross progression then. I thought the progress will crossover given it’s the same MLBTS account. I only wanted the now and later packs tho will those transfer?

Are you saying you have the now and later packs on MLBTS 24 on your PS4? If so, you have a conundrum. They may cross over to your MLBTS 25 Switch version or may not, but here's the problem that I see (and I could be wrong). You'd need your PS account to be the primary for that to happen, but if you make your PS account your primary, you won't see the extras from your 25 switch version.
If it were me, I'd send in an Account trouble ticket to Support. Explain your situation and see how they can help you.

yup exactly, i have the now or later packs on the PS4 and I wanted them to transfer over but wasn't sure if I can get this to transfer while keeping the extras from the DD. I tried sending a ticket in and haven't gotten a great response, I'll try again, thanks. If i try to link my account with the PS as the primary and I don't get the extras and then unlink the account, you think I'll still get the extras?

Yes, you will. Progress and earned assets aren't deleted, they stay with the version you purchased. When you link accounts, the primary account shares with the sub account(s).
For example, I have my PS, XBox, and Nintendo accounts linked. My PS account is my primary account. Whatever version I play on my PS, is what I see on my other two consoles (no matter what version I bought for them).
For 25, I bought the DD version for my XBox. I don't plan on getting it for my other two consoles, but if I do, I'll have to unlink my accounts and relink them making my XBox as primary, or the servers will hide my XBox version (and progression) and I'll only see my PS version (and progression).
Keep in mind that this doesn't work for purchased stubs. Purchased stubs can only be used on the account they are purchased from. If I bought stubs from Microsoft, they can only be used on the Xbox version and cannot be shared.
Given that, I think (and my memory may be hazy on this because it's been a few years) I have purchased stubs from Microsoft while my PS account was primary. I didn't see them when playing on my PS, but I did see them playing on my XBox. If I remember correctly (IF), from my XBox, I bought cards, and I did see those cards on my PS.

I really don't see a resolution for you without spending a lot of money (buying a PS5, a version for the PS5, probably the DD, seeing if you get Nintendo to take back the DD version or swapping it for the standard version and giving you a refund, then linking the accounts making your PS account primary...doing all of this nonsense would solve your problem and you'd be able to play the game on your switch with cross progression, and you'd get the now and later packs you've earned on your PS4).

i see, thank you this makes much more sense then. worst case i'll try linking and if I can't keep the extras I'll just unlink and play without the now or later packs. thanks again!

Man, am I glad you posted these questions @BlueJays_MLBTS because as I typed out the answers, it got me thinking about my situation.
Because I bought the XBox version and not the PS version, I realized I wouldn’t see my now and later packs either.
I cancelled my XBox DD preorder because of this. Now, to preorder the PS version instead. I guess I’ll use my XBox rewards that I used for the DD version, and spend them on the standard version and end up with both PS and XBox versions so I can get the now and later packs.

yea i wish there was a way so that you don't have to do all of this, it'd be much easier
