I don't know if this would work in DD but have an eras mode where you play the game by the different era .
For example pre dh era , you can pull a reliever after just one batter and you can run into the catcher etc.
Just a thought. -
I wouldn't mind only having to face one batter considering that's the one rule that I absolutely hate
