Extreme conquest

Please tell me I don't have to start ALLL the way over! I taken all but 3 of the strong holds left on the board and on the 3rd move. but I only have 52 total stolen fans. I stole fans before the 3rd turn, and it worked to steal the 4 million fans required for the conquest goals but tried again but the fans weren't added. What am I doing wrong?!
