Fernando Valenzuela has died
-
Just got a bulletin from the Los Angeles Times. (That's what I get for dictating it. Sorry for the weird original message.)

-
That's sad he was a great pitcher, I thought he was older than 63
-
Wow that’s a shame only 63 years young RIP Fernando Valenzuela! Dodgers Legend! We definitely need a legend card to honor him!
-
Definitely need a tribute program
-
How did I not remember that Valenzuela ended his career with the Cardinals?
Granted, he wasn't good for the Cardinals but I would still think that I would remember.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I only associated him with the Dodgers, so you aren't alone.

Fun facts: Before opening day in 1981 Dodgers ace Jerry Ruess got injured so Lasorda put Fernando in to replace him. He pitched a complete game shutout and went on to go 8-0 to start the season and helped the Dodgers beat the Yankees in the 1981 world series. Team mate Bobby Castillo taught him the screwball. He had 20 complete games in 1986 and threw a no hitter in 1990.
RIP Dodger legend. -
That 20 CG in 86 was the last time a pitcher had 20 or more CG in a season.
