Napoli is always an offensive beast. A better version of Piazza. Never thought I would see a Matt Moore Finest card but not a whole lot to choose from the Rays. Had that one good year and that’s it. Can’t imagine him being useable.
This is where they could've used Carl Crawford.

NL east prediction:
Utley
Leiter
Smoltz
Strasburg
Yelich -
@Dolenz_PSN McGwire has an Oakland 95 from OOP and Edmonds was a TA1 reward, so I think both seem unlikely. If you could get Finest Postseason, then a David Freese 2011 card would be fun
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS I’m desperate for a Ryan Howard card, personally. He featured in a few moments vs Phillies (maybe the Jeter storyline?) so he’s “in” the game already. That swing would be fun to use
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS home run derby 93 and a Choice Pack 90 but no 99… yet
-
We couldn't get Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Pudge Rodriguez, and Nelson Cruz to complete the "ex Rangers who went and played elsewhere" theme?
-
Not super amped for any of these dudes, but at this point, my team is essentially as good as it is going to be. I am just happy to have new stuff to do and new players to unlock (even if it's just for the sake of unlocking). Bring on the useless retro finest Konerko and Luis Gonzalez
But a 99 LHP closer is always nice.
-
@Dolenz_PSN AL Central. Some weird choices in my opinion. I mean... James McCann 2019? No offense, @SchnauzerFace_MLBTS ...
-
Thanks I was just about ready to go check for a new post from them.
Yeah these seem strange to me too. A 2009 Justin Morneau when he was MVP in 2006?
This screenshot does accomplish one thing though. It has made me temper my expectations for the Cardinals card.
-
@Dolenz_PSN My expectations are always low for my Padres when it’s retro or legends. They always seem to get the Wil Myers or Hunter Renfroe type card. A forgettable player fans don’t want in game.
-
Al Kaline can't get a 99 the last two years but here's Gregory Soto.
-
The game never adds enough relievers so as a non Royals fan Im fine with their weird [censored] choice, but cant imagine this is what Royal's fans wanted.
I like murray and hope they give him a mets card one of these years.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN maybe they will shake it up and give you a Manuel Margo this time!
-
Seeing some mixed reactions on Twitter.
Some think they all are bad.
Some appreciate that they are at least different than the usual.
Some are liking the McCaan addition while others laugh at it.
There seems to be a fair amount of hype for Soto. -
Ooof. Not the most impressive lineup. I do like Eddie Murray, but 1B is so stacked and it's hard enough to find room for both Frank Thomas and Matt Olson. McCann is a weird choice for the Sox, but I actually like it more than Konerko (who would have been crazy redundant after Frank and Abreu). White Sox theme teams are almost always way too right-handed, so I will probably stick with that 97 Grandal behind the plate just to have someone swing it from the left.
Staumont is....unexpected.
-
@Jeff7407_PSN Stop it. That’s exactly the kind of thing I don’t want. How about a 1996 Steve Finley? How about a 1992 Gary Sheffield? Adrian Gonzalez? Jake Peavy was 1 and done last year and we have a million Yankees in this game. Oh, and get Ken Caminiti and Kevin Brown in this game.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN has there ever been a Gossage Padres card? He is at least in the game.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN agree though Caminiti would be great adding another switch hitting third baseman.
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL McCann and Staumont would been the cards I would have replaced. I would have replaced McCann with Eric Hosmer, and Staumont with Yordano Ventura; if the show has or had the rights to those two players. In order for sets and seasons to work in the future there has to be a lot more players than there are now. The recycling is getting to be a bit too much.

Its crazy that all year we didnt really have a 99 lefty in the pen until that Billy Wagner, now we get 3 in the course of a week (Miller, Soto, Chapman)
