MLB the show 24 - Jersey Number Question? Road to the Show

So I checked the team in the MLB, I am currently on the Phillies, I picked a number that none of the MLB roster has, but it still won't let me take the number, I read before that people that have a higher rating takes priority, I have an 86 Overall, and no one with any number I want has a higher overall.. How the heck do I get the number I want? I wanted 34, 1, 12 and I can't get any of them. Anyone know what I can do? I am still in my rookie year though.

Schwarber is 12, 1 & 34 are retired (Richie Ashburn & Roy Halladay respectively)

Does anyone have a number suggestion since all my favorites are not available.
