Are there some players that don 't show up in Mini Season? EXAMPLE: I have 2 Lee Smith cards but can't find either in mini season.

Depends on what mini season your doing, classic mini seasons you can use any cards

The Red Sox one is standout series and the cubs one is breakout series, neither series is eligible in the career achievement mini seasons.
Both are eligible in classic, legends and live,and ta1 mini seasons.
The Red Sox one is eligible in ta2 mini seasons.
