I earned the new Mays card. Wish it was higher than an 85 but glad that they at least supercharged it to a 93 for a few days. I wish the supercharge was longer or that they slowly ramp up the supercharge over the coming weeks, but honestly I don't expect it.

The storyline was pretty easy to finish and my only disappointment was that they could not get their graphics updated in time and that the game listed him as 1931-Present.

You know, after thinking about it, I take back what I said about wishing it was higher than an 85 and hoping that they continually supercharge it. It's fine as it is and the nice banner that they added in game is fine.

My original statement and the cries to make his 99 card a core card really comes off, to me, as people saying "This legend has died, now how can I gain an in game benefit from his death".

His 85 card will be forgotten in a week by most. What's wrong with honoring him all year?

If SDS wants to do something more to honor him in game then great, I am all for it.

That, at least to me, seems like a totally different scenario than myself and others selfishly asking what benefit do we gain by his death.

I took your comment as a slight against my change his core to 99 comment. I just think that Willie Mays was truly one of the best to ever play baseball. Right there with Babe and Hank and anyone else you can think of. The way he is remembered should reflect that. Changing his 99 to core is a good first step IMO.

Supercharged for 24 days would have been appropriate

One of the best players of all time gets supercharged to a 93 for 5 days(and not even a good 93). A no name player hits a walkoff and gets a better card for the same amount of time. You have to give Willie a maxed out card for a week or two. SDS has really lost it this year.

I put in the work to get him and do not care if people who didn’t get him. It’s a game after all.

And don’t forgrt, you’ll also get the new card and would be able to use it all year if they decide to make it core.

Only for you and me, and the small % of the player base that got his S1 card.

@LIONED-33_XBL I don't think you understood where I was getting at? I EARNED the card, like you stated, but if they gave it away for free to others who haven't, why would I care? It's not as if I worked 60 hours a week at a job and they gave my deserved promotion to the boss' slacker son.

I was going to put the Supercharged Mays in a lineup, since I'm finishing up TA NL West, but said 'his stats won't count,' and didn't put him in!

That's because he is not a Giant on that particular card.

@Teak2112_MLBTS rational? Give for free what others had to work for? How is that rational?
