But if this were true wouldn't the yips last game mode to game mode? I switch from ranked to casual 400-700 in most cases I play above my skill in casual because queue times are bad and I play HoF. My gameplay is almost always much better in casual than ranked even with the same live series players many times.
Does your card/player get the yips or does the user?

The hitting has definitely changed. SDS said so in their patch notes: "Foul balls: We’ve made some tweaks to foul balls, primarily impacting the Competitive gameplay style. With poor swing timings, users will now experience more swings and misses." Obviously, some people will deny the facts to suit their narrative, but no amount of gaslighting will alter the fact that the game mechanics were changed.
People adjust to change differently. Some can blow right through it because they are just that good. Others are more challenged. For me, it is like SDS raised the mound six inches and moved it six inches closer to home plate. I was already frustrated with game due to seasons and terrible content design. This change to the hitting mechanics has made the game even worse for me personally. I am close to moving on but I am waiting to see if I can eventually adjust.
Those who are having no trouble with the changes could show some kindness and compassion toward their fellow players that are having more difficulty. Maybe even offer some encouragement. Of course, that's not the way people operate these days, so we see posts denying the change ever happened or bragging about how fast they have adjusted.

I mean I felt like and still feel like the game rewards bad input more than it should. I’m pretty consistent in my swings and never got the luck other people seemed to get by swinging at everything. I mean should I really feel bad people are finally not being rewarded for swinging at everything and staying alive using a contact swing until you see a bad pitch?

No. I said that people could offer some kind words, advice, or encouragement for those that are struggling with the change. Another alternative would be to say nothing. It sounds like you wanted the game to be more difficult, so it's good for you. I am just saying that it was not good for me and others.
I don't think it is a good idea to change game mechanics in the middle of a product cycle. If the game started that way, then I might feel differently. Having the timing changed after putting 250 hours into the game is quite frustrating in my opinion.

You’re not as tense in a casual game hence it being casual
Ranked you will tense up bc it matters record/rating wise
when you tense up you’ll play worse

I've noticed an uptick in my own whiffs, they have gone up. Which I'm ok with...it's actually improved my PCI placement because I'm starting foul the ball off again with more accurate placement. That being said, they need the CPU to follow suit. I'm still having 8, 9, 10 pitch AB's in mini seasons at least once an inning which makes me chew through my pitching staff

I'd argue I don't care about rank and have been in a losing record long enough to say that I treat both mode with equal emotion. Considering I've had games go into overtime on casual and I sweat more than I have in ranked cause the game became just as competitive. I mean I guess you make an argument for my opponent but I can't say the same for myself.
Does the PS5 sense emotion or have heart rate monitors? Again, if this is the case casual is sweaty for me. Just as much as ranked since I see no difference in emotional care. -
I think it’s the player and not the cards. I play consistently in all the different modes with the cards I use. Sometimes I just play too much or just have timing issues, I just chalk it up to “it happens”

I get that, I don't like the fact that's far too common if a statement said in this game. You're not always perfect or at your best for sure. My point though is in my case, not everyone's, I play HoF casual and have great games far more often. I'm not saying I win them all, I am saying even the losses and the sweaty long inning games feel infinitely better than ranked, BR, or an event like moonshot.
In S1 with all my cards and favorites I could lose 2 back to back ranked games. Then go back to casual on a harder difficulty and perform leagues better. Not saying I just go on a win streak just saying the performance and feel of the game is infinitely better as an experience. -

It’s meaningless therefore you wouldn’t “sweat” a meaningless game.
And if you’re losing enough in ranked to have a losing record, which means you’re on allstar, but you’re playing casual games on HOF and winning then you’re just proving my point

@mookieparlaybetts_MLBTS I agree with what you're saying. It doesn't follow that my stats and performance is better on HoF than all star ranked.
