did they clamp down on hitting after the update because i cant hit nothing
-
I thought it was just me. I am playing conquest or vs CPU on veteran. Every perfect/perfect is a line drive out. Nothing goes into the gap, it is always straight at a fielder. Every bronze pitcher is dotting the corners or throwing breaking pitches that would make 99's jealous. I just played a 7-inning game on conquest and lost 1-0.
The DD mode has become frustrating and no longer fun. I am using cards that I don't want to use to play games that I don't want to play to earn cards that I don't want to own. The rainbow land where I can use any card (assuming that I can ever earn the good ones) is still months of grinding in the future.
NCAA FB can't come soon enough.

It’s probably because of swing timing. The worse swing timing now gets more strikeouts and less fouls, unfortunately this will affect people also getting hits.
Also affects people who play rookie and strictly offline not just online people like it should because SDS doesn’t know how to do things
-
It's because they fixed foul balls and even I'm having problems hitting now on veteran or rookie vs CPU
-
Did they also buff CPU hitting though? Many games where I’m giving up homeruns to people with 40 and 50 power and then nothing on my end. May end up quitting this year altogether. Have never quit before but they got way more greedy this year and now are messing with gameplay
-
I'm not trying to start anything but I said yesterday that this is why they don't touch gameplay

So they're supposed to make the game easier for offline players? And how do propose they do this for people who play both online and offline content?

I can only say that timing/all star feels as it did before. streaks have always happened, people are rushing to conclusions
-
@cjhanz84_PSN I hope you are waiting for COD too … „every perfect perfect is an out“ … is so bad, because it is the biggest lie this forum has ever seen.

This. I can't tell you how many times over the years people have come in claiming something had been nerfed immediately following the patch.
I have not noticed much difference playing Vs CPU on rookie.
-
On 6/11 (pre Patch) I beat the A's on rookie 21-1 with 24 hits and 14 HRS. I gave up 4 hits and 1 Eearned Run with three pitchers while racking up 21 strikeouts.
-
On 6/14 (after patch) I beat the White Sox 18-0 with 23 hits and 13 HRs. I gave up 4 hits, 0 ERs and while striking out 21 batters.
-
On 6/15 (after Patch) I beat the Giants 18-0 with 21 hits and had 11 HRS. I gave up one hit in the 9th to just miss out on a perfect game while striking out 19. I was using multiple CF and 2B so my power was not as great.
All three game were played at the same field (costco) and nothing really seemed out of the ordinary for me.

The OP may be correct or perhaps player concentration, patience and focus can be variable from day to day.
-
I just dropped 25 vs the cpu on veteran. And I kinda half asssed it after the 6th .
Hitting is fine. -

Nerfed.

Its all the same. You have good games and bad games. I literally have those types of games back to back. Same settings same lineup. Sometimes go nuts, sometimes nothing.
-
That's baseball though - one game you light up a team and the next you can't buy a hit. I get frustrated too especially if I only have time for a couple quick games and the logic has 72 rated cards dotting like Greg Maddox, but at the end of the day if EVERY game was 20-0 I'd probably not like that either and call it unrealistic. So basically SDS can't win LOL

I think the latter is probably the reason for me. The game has become tedious and boring, and that is probably showing up in my play. I am sick of grinding with garbage cards in dull programs to earn collection fodder, so I hurry through the games in order to get the program progress and end up with poor results.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between veteran in mini seasons and veteran in conquest? I just trying to get the 20 HRs but in 2 games so far I have hit none and have 0 hits and lost both games but in conquest I hit better on veteran difficulty
-
@sbchamps17_NSW mini seasons seems to play harder then conquest. Not sure if the sliders are adjusted, or because the rosters you are facing in mini seasons are much much better then you see in conquest. Im guessing its the tougher rosters. I play on legend (usually) and there is definitely a difference between conquest and mini seasons in difficultly
-
OK I'll keep trying to get better
-
You are normally playing better teams in mini seasons. You also may not be hitting as well because you are using 87-91 level players
