New Patch Update

Prediction: Those who have been complaining the most about foul balls still won't be satisfied and will continue to complain.
100% agree … and the complains will be based off 1 game (rage quitting after 2 innings) having used a pitcher with low K/9s having done pitching motions very poorly (and they will not admit that)
-
We should see an uptick of complaints about striking out around noon and it will get progressively bigger by the end of next week.
-
I'm betting on complaints about 70 pitch CGs
-
Just had an annoying mini season game where I didnt get a hit until the 5th. It was the Cats in classic so all pitchers 99, but looking at the results after the game
I had 'good' timing on pitches in zone 9 times. 1 hit (and it was a weak grounder past infield in), 1 double play, 1 whiff (acceptable on timing) and 6 fouls.
For what its worth, good timing on balls just off the edge was 3ks, a foul, and an out, but timing vs great pitchers on all star thats fine.
But hey, at least the batter's eye was better
-
I'm finding hitting a little harder since the patch of the foul balls. I'm still struggling to understand why people complained about foul balls when that's literally part of the game. Watching a real mlb game you can have 8-10 foul balls during 1 at bat
-
I find it ridiculous that they haven’t fixed the patch where you can manually do the injuries in franchise. We’re in June and I understand injuries happen left and right. But I want to be able to play realistically. This better be in the next update or I’m gonna keep asking until it happens

People get extra whiney when they feel their 'input doesn't matter'
That said, there were definitely some bs foul balls on low pitches. But I never felt that was the big driver of foul balls, it was more all the cutters and such that are easy foul ballsI just had a 12 pitch at bat in BR because my timing was just off before going deep.
Then the next at bat some dude with 30s power went yard on the first pitch and the guy quit (after letting it land)Shout out to Derek Hill, who is now 2-3 with 2 HR online for me....
-
@sbchamps17_NSW the average pitches per plate appearance in 2024 according to baseball reference is 3.88, foul balls were ridiculous and absolutely a problem. Still are, they’re a crutch for lower level players to be able to compete and try to level the playing field.
-
Doesn't matter it's part of the game and they didn't need to fix it
-
cairo batter eye was the worst , i complained about it early on , not a single reply

Agree … foul balls, especially against my favourite opponents „I play at Costco and I will swing very early until I hit a bad pci 86mph-HR“ were really are problem. I usually get 40-50 per game. That is more than an average MLB game and therefore NOT part of the game (unless this is too complex to get )

Well the overwhelming majority and SDS disagree with you on this one. It was a problem that needed fixed.
-
@sbchamps17_NSW
Do you play RS H2H online? If not, you may not understand. The reason why it was a "problem" is because users with poor plate discipline would swing at everything and after the 10th-12th pitch or so, get rewarded with a bloop single... Meanwhile the superior user, who has good plate discipline, would get more perfect/perfect line outs.Sure, foul balls are a thing, and (like baseball) the superior user does not always win... However, it was just a case where the inferior user was being rewarded too much, while the superior user was not.
-
Well I'm not the only one who thinks that it wasn't a problem so agree to disagree. Don't fix something that doesn't need to be fixed
-
@sbchamps17_NSW
Ok, but do you play online?I am not being critical of you, if you don't... I am just saying that it matters. Online vs Offline players have different experiences and their opinions matter, relative to their what they play.

Simply put: foul balls were happening on unrealistic pitch/swing combos. End of story. The fact that so called 'superior users' were getting their feelings hurt by a bloop single is irrelevant, and those people are still going to cry anyway.

@Teak2112_MLBTS
I do not care about the feelings of the superior/better user. I just appreciate the value of user input. Therefore, I support any adjustment that places more value on user input. -
@sbchamps17_NSW yikes.. that’s all I’ll say
-
Just played my first games at Cairo, wow it's good.
Now I just need to not swing at everything simply because I can see it finally. -
For me the complaint was foul balls on pitches way out of the zone . I was ok with fouls just out of the zone .
