I working on Season 2 NL East Team Affinity, using a wild card at catcher (Gary Carter, who is NL East with the Mets). Does anyone know if this counts towards season 2 affinity? I kind of suspect it does not.

They do not and that’s why I don’t use wildcards … if they make them relevant they would for offline players

I knew they didn't, but had 94 Elly in my lineups for any TA division I was playing with. Why? because he's a 'lineup mover.' Base hit after hit, and SB's if I struggled with TA cards I've never used. After awhile, I got tired of 'wasted' stats and put in LS Elly who I just got to P4, and is almost as good, but his power vs. righties is subpar. Strange choice with Carter, though who I didn't do well with.

@TheGoaler_MLBTS Thanks for the feedback. I can see why one might use a WC just to keep the innings going. I chose Carter because I was having no luck with Realmuto and had no other gold+ catchers in S2 NL East.

LS Elly is also still great, his swing is terrific and hits bombs even RH. Of course Reds captain or Castillo boost is nice too. Plus stats actually counts for TA.
