I was up 5-2 in the 9th and this guy couldn’t hit me all game. Literally he scored 2 runs in the 8th. Then in the 9th I magically give up 4 runs and he happens to not swing at anything out of the zone? This stuff is repetitive and I don’t understand it. There has to be a gameplay boost for the losing team in the 9th inning for ranked. If I were that bad, then I wouldn’t have 2 hit him until the 8th? He would’ve scored a run or hit a bomb in the first 7innings? If I was that bad? I understand comeback wins happen. It’s just happening every game?? Makes no sense. I also understand that I’m not the best at this game, but every game I play whether it’s solo ranked or Co op ranked with friends, this is a common trend in the 9th inning. Does anyone else experience the same issue? If this is in the gameplay, I might have to walk away from the game and that sucks because I love the game.

I wish the game could script me to not swing at pitches out of the zone

I like to keep games close a swing at bad pitches all game then try in the past three innings. It's more fun than having a crybaby quit in the second because they gave up a homerun.

There’s a pitching chart that shows where you throw pitches and you can even find what pitches you tunnel off what in game. So if he was pausing late game he’s probably looking at that in the game. I check that every 20 pitches to see my opponents patterns. Maybe he did that.

Or the OP left pitcher in to long.

Or the OP's opponent got hot and finally picked up his pitchers.

There in no code in this game that magically appears when someone is losing.

Did you swap out pitchers? The more pitches your opponent sees allows him to adjust and try to guess or make contact on what he thinks is coming.

He figured you out ? You lost focus. Your pitcher lost energy.
Or out of sheer luck rng went his way late in clutch situations.
