hmmm.. I would argue that it's merely dec. no power increase. But to have a live series boost is dope in essence.

I don't think it it that great. Let's look at a random 85 diamond hitter
Adolis Garcia - The hitting boost raises his contact numbers to 77 V R and 88 V L.
And an 85 pitcher
Corbin Burnes - Raises his H/9 to 103 and his BB/9 to 80
I think it is safe to assume that TA2 cards will quickly be replacing most live series players with the exception of the 90+ live diamonds.

Depending on the captain boost we will have 75% the same team. Captain Castillo for example boosts LS hitters. LS cards will be going up a bit in price IMO. +15 CON R and CON L is a good boost for cards like Trout and Acuna who are not getting inside boosts anytime soon.

TA2 cards might not replace LS cards as quickly as you might think. Bit again, hard to tell without knowing what the other captain cards boost.

well I personally haven't used Trout, Acuna, or hardly any of these live series or core cards as there's been better options. so they'll be new to me my squad.
but I bet over 50% of my squad will be new come completion of the first installment of TAS2

We don't know.
However, I'd say at least 90% chance its a choice pack given at s2 launch

We will see... you get to use two Captains. What if a Castillo and on of the Captain hitters both boosted live series in some way? We don't know until we see the Captains. Let's say Stanton boosts right handed hitters and Devers boosts lefties. Wouldn't live series cards still be better boosted than the 89's that are being dropped? We just don't know.

@fellspointguy_MLBTS You can probably only use 1 cornerstone at once since we only got 1 in S1 … Looking back at S1, I suppose that an All-TA2-1-squad will be better than a boosted live series. But it is a great starting point. Castillo looks nice, but I suppose Stanton/Devers (who have favourite swings) will have more power-boosts on their side. Many people love that

@Dolenz64_XBL Combine it with the Santana Boost and you're gonna have a bunch of Switch Hitting Live Series cards that become Top Notch. Prepare for all the complaint posts cause they're coming.

So this is the first cornerstone captain boost where a desirable attribute qualifies you as opposed for Buxton and Arenado where the qualification was based on being bad at something
Well we can guess one of the London Series pack rare rounds now: a JT Realmuto with 85 speed

Carroll is my pick without a doubt. I always go with speed guys anyway in my lineup so midway through season 2, i should have a solid team.

I know we can't use more than one from each season but I'm wondering if we can wildcard Arenado/Buxton's S1 card and combine with Castillo S2.

Wait. We can't use a Pitching and a Hitting Cornerstone Captain from the same season; but we can use both from S1 like Carlos and Kershaw?
