How SDS Has Become Disconnected from the MLB The Show Community

The kid b1tched and moaned liked everyone else especially at launch and acts like he didn't. I dig up his posts but idc to. That's why he's delusional.
Some folks on these forums think they are entitled as well. BJ is one of them. Not shocking

I complained at launch because I couldn't play because of the Nintendo switch crashes so unless you can say that you experienced the same thing on Nintendo switch then stop being rude. It's a pain to not be able to play the game that I spent good money on to play at launch then having to watch it collect dust for a full week because SDS couldn't fix it right away

TLDR:
PC master race proven correct.let me start with I'm not a previous gen user. I'm not defending users on previous but I am in no way shape or form advocating for those users to pay big money they can't afford to get new gen.
I will say it's hard for me to believe it's solely a previous gen issue because of all the varying games I play on console and PC. With games like Fortnite who have successfully upgraded their game AND kept it cross platform with old gen. Sure the old gen may not be able to keep up with frame rates and some other issues, it still runs to an acceptable level and can definitely be viable for massive playerbase.
As a PC player these issues never really occur until it comes down to performance. Most PC games are relegated to the OS. Windows 10 for example seems to be the standard starting point and we all know W10 has its issues and is dated as well BUT game devs still do well with previous gen OS.
Something tells me if Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo all dropped support for previous gen the would lose LOTS of money, yes. But I don't think it would permanently fix The Show because what happens when the next gen comes out again? Back at Square one. So this excuse doesn't sit well with me. It just tells me SDS can't do their job at peak when they need it most.
What you're saying isn't being said by SDS so we can't at all take that for truth. SDS in their silence on this tells me they are satisfied with the game engine.I would believe this IF the game performed well on new gen consoles and poorly on previous gen NOT poorly for everyone because some players have dated tech.
This kinda brings me to the PC master race debate. If we are going to deflect blame off of SDS on the next gen issue then that just furthers the point that console will remain inferior while Fortnite, CoD, Elden Ring, etc continue to thrive and make more money on PC.
If SDS released a purely PC only version and ALL of the problems were gone that would tell you console gens are the problem not their game engine. I think Madden and some 2K games are on PC. I don't play them though so I can't give you my thoughts on their performance on PC and compare to console.
Sorry that's a lot to read.
It all makes so much sense now.
You're a PC gamer. The utmost, stereotypical of PC gamers. The toxicity, the mansplaining, THE CONSTANT REMINDER THAT YOU SPENT 80 WHOLE AMERICAN DOLLARS ON A VIDEO GAME.
You're one of these "PC master race" clowns, lol.
There's no way possible to take a literal meme such as yourself seriously. You might as well start every post with "well actually" and if I dug through your posts, I'm certain I would find it.
Nice fedora clown.

@Cubsfan217_XBL I think you're half right. SBC not as much though. He genuinely believes the game is fun but I think acknowledges it's problems. I've been here enough now to see who the white knights are and arnt. SDS has a lot of them and I think that's how they stay in business alongside their marketing. Whales too.
The game really WOULD be perfect or amazing if these bigger gameplay bugs and issues were fixed. I think players like SBC might be wrong about it not being frustrating but hey he said himself he has not experienced the issues we have. I don't think he's delusional. BJ, yes. Tyler, yes. Some of these others.....not really.Edit:
The second I finished my post BJs loaded above it lmao!!!!! Can't paint a better picture. -

@BJDUBBYAH_PSN I am out of likes for the day, BJ otherwise I'd like your post

Wow now your on his side, just because I don't have a problem with the game doesn't mean you can bad mouth me. That's very rude. I stated what my only problem with the game was in my last post which was not being able to play at launch because of the Nintendo switch crashes

Well, we made it pretty far before the nonsense started. It was a fun discussion prior to that. Thanks to everyone who positively contributed.
-
@sbchamps17_NSW Thankfully I was able to play at launch for the most part but the freezing was straight up atrocious.
-
@BadaBing_0_PSN Yeah sorry. Figured

@AdeptOfMemory_PSN You literally tried to fight 4 different people in this thread LOL

@Sarge1387 League of Legends has been the same game since 2009.
You're not wrong, but just because LoL is working doesn't mean the devs and coders with SDS could get theirs to work. So it's still a very feasible issue that could be occurring here, that's all. NHL when it was cross gen(albeit PS to PS and XB to XB) was the dog's breakfast until they went cross platform current gen to current gen.

Bumping this up one more time
-
Sports games are the new gacha games. The fact EA/2K/SDS never even address the majority of there problems is incredibly telling and sad
-
@BadaBing_0_PSN SDS: yeah, but.... have you seen the new 40k stub packs!!!! We're raking in dough!!!!! You thought we cared about the players???
-
I would love it if SDS would come out and say "OK. We know you guys aren't loving this. But, we're taking all this extra money and investing in a true next-gen experience, better servers, etc."
Right now, it just feels like a hollow cash-grab. Yes, this game is still pretty friendly to those us of that don't buy packs, but some clarity would be nice.

By far the most likely scenario:
Sony is taking the microtransaction money and putting it to other Sony entities and leaving SDS with a team too small to keep up with developing and running a game on multiple generations and platforms -

Sony is taking the microtransaction money and putting it to other Sony entities and leaving SDS with a team too small to keep up with developing and running a game on multiple generations and platformsBut what other games does Sony do this to? If there are then yes I could believe this kind of thing but Sony does so well with other games for the most part, SDS seems to me like the under performing employee but they still turn a profit so no need to put money into it. Just let it ride out their employment agreement.
It feels more like Sony is collecting as much as of a check as they can out of the stubs and base sales, not spending money on improvement so when when employment contracts expire and upper management resigns the game is just done. Happens alot actually. Games just end. I think that's the stage of The Show. -
That could definitely be the case but if so another developer will start making baseball games. So, in the end it could be a good thing if this series refuses to improve then it’s time to get out of the way and let someone new take a shot. Unfortunately, unless microtransactions are abolished the future of all sports games stinks.
