Why doesn’t Bernie Williams get a boost under Ortiz?

@platewelder_363 The collection Bernie card is a 1998 All Star card, the Subway is from his age 37 season which was in the 2000's. That's why that one gets the boost and the other does not.

So even though the player played in the 2000’s, it’s gotta be the card year??? That’s the dumbest shiiiiiiiit I’ve ever heard. But……I have faith the we haven’t seen the dumbest yet. We are still early in the year. They have plenty of time to outdo themselves.

Most of the 99s in chapter 3 played in the 2000s....by your logic every one of them should get the Ortiz boost. Now THAT is the dumbest shiiiiiiiiit I've ever heard.

I will admit that some of the theme teams require a little research on your own that can't be easily filtered in-game.

Teams that require a particular franchise or card series are easy to assemble, but the information required isn't always available on the card itself. Not all cards are postmarked with the year they represent which can make it difficult to determine eligibility without a quick Baseball Reference check. Same thing when it comes to Captains with stat-based team requirements (HR, saves, etc.).

Again, most of these builds are pretty straightforward. However, it would be an added convenience if they could figure out a way to program these provisions into the search filter.

@SakAttack87 when building your squad, you can filter by “boosted by captain”

That only helps at the squad page itself though, if you’re buying cards off of the marketplace, then yes, an added filter would be fantastic
