This game is garbage

Dont wate your money on mlb the show, ive lost over 20 games agaisnt terrible opponents because this game MAKES YOU LOOSE! The last game i played is the last one im ever playing i just downloaded 2k and madden. I hit 6 perfect hits that were single base hits my opponent scored 3 home runs off 2 late swings and 1 good swing. After that im never going to play again and i will personally buy you packs on madden or 2k if you prove that you deleted mlb the show. This game for the most looser people on that planet, half of your opponets are complete virgins that live with their parents

Lol, because they're children .

Okay bye. I hope the venting helped.
It's really hard to take anyone seriously who insults their opponents and the player base in general because they had a bad game.
-
@Guccidylan4268 according to your game log, you played at Shield Woods, max elevation leads to off pci home runs.
You also struck out 14 times.
Which is over 50 percent of outs recorded.
And brings me to my biggest problem with posts like this.Focus on putting that bat on the ball more, and worry less about what happens when you do, and good things will happen. Who cares if you hit the ball hard 3 times for singles when you didn’t hit the ball at all for 14 outs.
-
See ya….
-
You lost those games because the players were better than you but sadly instead of owning it and trying to get better you decided to come and cry and blame everything but your lack of skill.
-
The game is garbage but I don't think it's garbage because you don't win games.
I agree the gameplay is buggy and unpolished but, if you want to get better at the game try offline game modes on legend and hall of fame.
You're right though about the forums community and the perfect perfects are trash. The game wants you to think Perfect/Perfect is a good thing but in reality none of it matters. You just have to have the best cards and best timing you can and let the RNG take over. Hypothetically, If you and your opponent are playing the exact same way and same skill then the player with the best cards and least errors will win the game.
You know you're doing it right when the game is a 9 round homerun derby. That's how they want this game played.
If you want to keep playing don't focus on perfect perfect because they are actually the worst possible hits in the game. You're better off getting good at hitting dirtballs and just fouling out until their pitcher gets tired.
You have to abuse the worst parts of the game to be good. Pitching sucks and batting is overpowered. Just learn how to get your PCI close and work on timing. You will foul out until you get the right pitch and hit.
I'm not good at this game but if you want to be good you need to abuse the game's most vulnerable spots to reach the top.SDS has the biggest simps and defenders I've seen in ANY game. The devs suck at managing anything about this game and the forums.
I don't encourage people to play games that make them mad. This game will definitely do that to you. I only play because I love baseball, the original gameplay of this franchise, and honestly I don't like spending money on things and not using them. I'm stubborn for paying $80 and getting a bucket of wet runny [censored] when were told it's quality top soil but you do what you gotta do.
This game isn't for a casual player nor someone expecting a full game for a full price. It's the only baseball game on the market that isn't a mobile app that's why it's still alive.
If any other dev made a MLB licensed game SDS would be out of business. -
You're going to 2k because the show has pissed you off? good luck with that!

One of the truest things posted on the entire internet.

I win a lot and as much as i hate to say it, last 2 years its been garbage compared to where it could have been. In its early years mastering ball physics and subtle details were concentrated on and dealt with promptly. The popularity of online play has killed the baseball part of The Show . We see nothing being developed towards franchise mode or custom leagues which have never worked btw, and now mini leagues. Mini is a perfect description of it. My League would be a good idea. Anything besides this totally geared to get that cash mentality . Make 2 games ,one for the hardcore 9 inning franchise player and another arcade legend of zelda mario brothers type game for the card weilding ranked season people. Call one Baseball and this one The Show
-
@kwikpoppa I wouldn't go so far to say online gaming has killed the show because for every other game even the sports games online competition has increased sales dramatically. If anything it's what keeps the game alive because unless you're playing an RPG or adventure story filled games you're not going to get much out of offline game modes.
I would absolutely love to play a pov RPG like version of the show but SDS won't devout time or money into anything but getting the customer to spend on stubs and packs.
It's not just offline that's trash, online is garbage too. SDS is not a good developer and only know how to sell sell sell.
Online is about [censored] necessary for most if not all games today. Again, unless you're Elden Ring or Skyrim you're not selling an offline game. You won't make money especially not on a sports game. These games are designed to be PvP. Even on the PS2 before days of online play I can promise you two brothers or best friends arnt taking turns on a single player baseball story mode. They are competing just like you would in real life. -
Lose not LOOSE.

@theBlindRhino woop woop! Tank a locul SDS simp 4 thuh daylee typoh corecshun!

I love the game and have been a fan for many years , i can find very little positive remarks to make on this years effort . I am being as vocal as possible about it and hope it has an impact . A voice crying in the wilderness if you will. I find it hard to believe that everyone isnt howling foul ball this year and diving somewhere else.
-
Why do we have so many people in these forums who worry about spelling and punctuation. Worry about the validity of a statement not the structure of its literary value. Lmao Im outta here.
-
@kwikpoppa I honestly think the game is naturally just not popular compared to other games in the world. I think the average people who don't like it's gameplay and don't like the game just stop playing and don't care to go further. SDS doesn't care what negative feedback they get because they still keep raking in the dough. The people who do care like yourself come here only to be met with gaslighting by the SDS white knights and simps that will drown you out, harass you into thinking YOU are in the wrong, and kill your post to the ground furthering the SDS ignorance on the issue you want fixed.
Vicious cycles -
@kwikpoppa that's all they have. Correcting your typos.
-
@AdeptOfMemory I disagree with your assessment; I think people who play this game play it because it's baseball, not because it's "a game" they would like to try.
By that logic (and it applies to all sports games), it has the biggest retention possible of any game. You won't persevere with an Elden Ring if you find it too difficult or aggravating, but you could find other RPGs that you like better or fits your preferences better. If you want a baseball game with the real teams and players, this is it, so gamers will tolerate its flaws longer, for the better part. How many whining posts have we seen through the years where the last line is "...but it's the only (licensed) baseball game out there, I can't quit !"
I don't think many casual baseball fans buy this game, for the price and the complexity of the controls at the entry level.

we have to if he is not able to, sorry. Loose is not a verb but another way of saying „something is not in place“
