Why SDS hates offline players?

Until today I’ve mainly been an offline player. The grind offline was leading to burnout and extreme boredom. I decided to play some ranked. I won some, got smashed some (mercy ruled ) but in the end I had a blast. I recommend offline players give it shot.
No thanks but yes burnout is coming more often for me lately

I was looking forward today, but only feeling now is disappointment, poor job SDS, I don't think I will make it even into Season 2 this year
When I read the TA3 offline requirements, I thought "what in the world???". It's so fragmented and random. Ick.
I just scored almost 30 runs against the CPU, and barely made any progress. Full AL East TA lineup and I didn't even get the 1500 PXP. Other teams have pitchers so they will be quicker, but still ridiculous.
The conquest save mission might be the most egregious. No TA progress at all outside of PXP with pitchers in conquest unless you purposefully stop scoring runs at 4, so holding you back in other missions just to get a save. Really really bad design.
Yeah, I usually ignore the save missions as they are completely opposite to the offensive missions. If you choose to pursue the save missions then you have to ignore the offensive missions and vice versa.
For sure in conquest and Mini Seasons.
But if you pull your SP after 6 innings in vs CPU and then pitch your closer for last 3 innings, you will get a save each game regardless of the score.
I always finish offensive missions I am working on way before I even consider finishing an entire 9 inning game vs cpu. Especially for like the monthly awards, load up with 3B/LF/whatever position until I finish the mission then quit out. They know this and they include save missions to try and keep us from doing it

Isn't DD for online competitive H2H? If you want offline why not do RTTS or Franchise mode?
I have not been able to play RS this year, but I will eventually.... and that is the only reason I spend my time grinding DD.

I think the fact that Conquest, Showdown and Mini Seasons are in the game is proof that DD isn't just about online H2H. I haven't had PS plus since 20.

Don’t worry guys BJ will tell you why it’s all in your head and the game is great as ever. He views all those with harsh criticisms of the game as being the vocal minority although it’s pretty clear a good amount of players, including many former vocal supporters on this very forum, have opened their eyes and voiced their displeasure with this year’s game.
The gameplay is really good. The best since 17. But the execution of DD this year is the worst in the series.

----3 hours of absolute braindead gamepley vs the cpu
----I'm not gonna waste my time with this game anymore.

yup. this year we're left to grind 'vs cpu' games which gets old real fast. Winning 23-2 vs cpu on rookie for multiple games is not fun at all. It just sucks the life out of playing.

double post

Playing rookie vs CPU home run derby should be the least optimal path and now it is. I suspect the order of best TA track gain is this:
Ranked
Event(if you can use TA bosses)
TA miniseason
Other mini seasons
TA conquest
Battle aroyale
Other conquest
Vs CPU -
@TripleH-4481 show me one post where I said the exact words “the game is as great as ever”
One.

Don’t worry guys HHH bunch of random numbers is gonna remind you that the game is trash, SDS is trash, the devs are trash, then spend 37 hours playing 9 inning games against the Rockies on rookie.

Vs CPUThat's a fair possibility...but all the does is punish the guys who don't play online against others, not a good engagement model. I would make Vs CPU the 3rd or 4th best way to earn TA, or XP if it were me. vs AI/Offline players paid the same amount of money for the game as all who play online. Do I want to start playing online a bit? Yeah...but I'm terrified I'm gonna get my ish pounded so hard that it'll make me hate the game and I don't want that

@Sarge1387 start with Co-op if you’re going to play online. Even if you just let the game match you with a teammate. It’s by far the most fun, lowest stress online H2H mode in the game. And if you have friends to play with, even better. They added stat missions for TA and Ranked progress and it’s a bonus.
