So Im just going to assume good/okays and exit velos wont be fixed?
-
Can you at least fix fielding then? Its like they dont even care anymore.
-
fielding is comical , pop to SS player doesn't move ball drops ,errors are up allot hey its part of the game but not these errors , but I am hopeful it will get fixed its early still.
-
Good/okay has really only been prevalent on all star for me, and I think it has to do with the massive pci. On HOF the game plays nearly perfect, but man, BR is almost unbearable for me because AS difficulty is just bad.
-
The PCI is not massive on All Star. It’s about what HOF was last year.

I think it’s massive when I’m playing BR. I think the HOF sizes are perfect in the event. Gallo has a tiny pci, but whenever the ball is inside of it with good timing, the EVs are always about right. I had a BR game last night with 3 straight perfect placement and good timing (I’m talking about perfectly placed where the big dot in the pci is, and got good/okay (Diamond Julio Rodriguez, JD Mart, Gold Zack Collins). Then in the 3rd inning, I had 4 centered up, 3 good timing and one just early (Gold Collins, JD Mart, Voit, LS Grandal). The just early was a home run, and the good timing were warning track fly balls with “okay” feedback. I just think the larger pci has an influence on the feedback. On HOF, that might happen once every 10+ event games.

facing much worse pitchers then you would in RS tho. Plus, energy going to affect the PCI size.
-
Did you really want a daily patch from SDS? If they keep doing that the problems will never be fixed. I’m happy there’s some time between the patches this time, maybe someone is finally getting somewhere on the fine tuning of the nonsense

In the game I highlighted, I faced 99 Kluber and Oliver Perez in BR. So kluber would offer a smaller pci, but it was still pretty big for those guys.

Please stop calling the PCI on All Star massive. Nobody even knows what the outer PCI does if anything.
Until someone can show me hit feedback where the ball is outside the inner PCI but within the outer PCI resulting in a hit, I call BS.
The inner PCI is WAY smaller than last year.
The game has already been patched like crazy, thanks in part to comments about how hitting is too easy and pitch speeds are too slow. Please just stop with the PCI is massive and move up a division if you’re so good.
Also, on Gallo, I no longer fear him like previous years because everyone who has him thinks they are good enough with PCI placement to use him successfully. Many are not.

You’re right, many people aren’t good enough with placement to use him to worth fearing on HOF. He still mashes for me though, and by no means am I a super computer hitting wise.
And yes, the pci on all star is still massive. That’s my opinion, yours differs and that’s completely fine. I just think it leads to the inconsistent feedback because those issues rarely show up playing at HOF difficulty.
-
That’s fine to have a different opinion, but seriously, if you turn off your outer PCI, do you still think the inner PCI is massive? I’m really curious.
I assume you’ve played earlier versions of the show?

I've got HRs this way haha. With the ball outside the inner PCI

The outer PCI is supposedly supposed to represent vision, which has to do with fouling off pitches. I say "supposedly" because I've fouled off plenty of pitches that were not even touching the outer PCI that I deserved a swing and miss on.
The inner PCI represents the batters contact rating. This PCI is smaller than last year because last year, there was only one PCI that combined both vision and contact.
It is pretty big IMO, but let me explain. I think that if the ball is completely within the inner PCI with good timing, it should at least be good/good. With how big the inner PCI is on AS, it doesn't allow for skill to accurately be represented. If my good/good idea was truly implemented, we would have the slug-fest we had at the beginning of the year.
So to make up for this, SDS added randomness to determine the outcomes instead of skill. In reality, if they shrunk the PCI and rewarded user input more accurately, we would see similar results with less people getting screwed out of hits because of random good/okays
-
I still think the inner PCI is what is determining hit outcome. I have never seen the swing feedback show a hit with the ball outside the inner PCI. In fact, as you point out, even balls inside the inner PCI are not always hits.
To me, the whole idea that the PCI is too big on All Star is based on the size of the outer PCI.
Honestly, debating semantics isn’t that important, but for the average player, the pci on All Star is plenty small.
We can agree to disagree, but the game keeps getting worse. I’m at the point now where I have to order a new tv with less input lag in order to be able to hit fastballs on All Star.
I really hope the pci dies not get smaller. Just turn off the outer one!

I don’t even pay attention to the outer pci. I just focus on getting the biggest dot (represents where those hitters have the best outcome) to the ball. On all-star I’ve had good/okay feedback where the the ball would be EXACTLY where that bigger dot is, and more than a few times. I’ve had that happen one time in the 40+ event games I’ve played. I just think the pci size when you look at the feedback after the at bat, the bigger pci sizes can alter the outcome. That’s just what I’ve noticed.
-
I’ve turned both my inner and outer PCI off. As you point out, the dots determine perfect placement anyway.
