I specifically put in the survey that they sent out that I absolutely hated those moments where you have to push multiple buttons just to get the out and yet they still put them in there

That's why it pays to have played 2K Basketball, and used the Gatorade training center, lol. For the treadmill workout, we had to alternate R1 and L1 while running , so right away I knew!

The nerve of them.
Honestly, there are only a few moments that require the random button inputs and they aren't too hard. It is at least something different from the usual throwing meter.

I'm not a fan of this style of game play.
In general, I dislike anytime we have to control the player in a non standard way, including (and especially) pitching moments.
I dont play RTTS because of it (that and no time for RTTS and DD both), but its rarely a factor in DD so not a big deal. -
