Didn't we used to get rewards for how high we got during the last ranked season? O just turned the game on and it said season over and showed me my highest rank and that was it.

Yeah I thought there were rewards between seasons before. Maybe it was only after the main XP path season though. Not sure...

Prior to 2021 (or 2020. I forget), you had to wait until the end of the season in order to get rewarded. Now, you receive the reward whenever you first reach that particular level.
