Is RTTS rigged?

I just had a game that was early in the season. My team was 6-1 and the opponent was 1-6. Their SP had an ERA of 47.25 and ours had an ERA of 3.60. Final score was an 8-3 loss. My player who is 1B went 1-4 with only a single. I had a game yesterday with my SP against a SP with an ERA of 9+ and the final score was 1-0. I see play after play where the CPU players make fantastic defensive plays almost super human.

Yep. I'm seeing this too. I've actually given up on RTTS (at least as a hitter). Way too many games where my team is up like 7-0 in the 5th inning and then miraculously the other team will score 8 runs within 3 innings leading to us losing. It's not even fun at this point.

In my first full season with the Rockies in 2022 after two years in AA/AAA, we made the playoffs as a wild card. Beat the Braves in the one game playoff, beat the Mets in 4 and the Brewers in 6. Faced the Twins in the WS. Came down to game 7. We were down 3-0 going into the 7th inning. Several hits and 2 errors by the twins allowed us to score 5 and we went on to win 6-4. So... I've seen the types of things you're talking about, but this one seemed to even it out for me anyway.

Being that I play as the Giants I'm expecting to be in last place for a long time.
But..... I watch what the Giants do on offense. Why does it seem like they get thrown out at home plate A LOT?

Your Giants may get a chance, as I've seen that even crappy teams can pull together a decent roster after a few years. I was drafted by the Orioles in MLB 2019. 3 years in, we made the wildcard, and 5 years in we won the division. This year, I was drafted by the Marlins and after 4 years we have a decent team.

Well, my anomaly RF got rushed up to Detroit. Spring Training, 2021, we're playing the BoSox, and our pitching staff gives up nine runs in the 7th. I screen-capped the log, and it barely fits on one screen. Anyway, as part of that collapse, they issued a combined EIGHT WALKS IN ONE INNING, okay, which (I looked this up) would have tied the ALL-TIME MAJOR LEAGUE RECORD for most bases on balls in one inning. That record, by the way, dates back to 1909, which was in the dead-ball era.
When my AI teammates are setting what would be modern-era Major League records for how badly they're pitching, you'll have to excuse the tin foil hat here, but I have a hard time believing that's not code.

So what shenanigans am I seeing then? For all of my hitters, the players hitting behind them do not perform well at all when I'm on base. I see some really crazy things. For example, I've been on different teams with different players who always lead the league in hitting into double plays. It's almost laughable at this point. I get on base with less than 2 outs, and shrug...here comes the next hitter hitting about to GIDP. This is also demonstrated by the low batting averages and high strikeout rates for players that hit while I'm on base, no matter who they are. I've seen it with Mookie Betts, Josh Donaldson, Salvador Perez, Whit Merrifield, Adalberto Mondesi, Pete Alonso, Jorge Soler.
First off... great post. Lots of great detail in here. Second, I spent my 2021 season with the Rockies, hitting ahead of Nolan Arenado. I hit .350 and walked a ton. I was on base all the time. Nolan rewarded me with a .243 batting average...

Well, at least I'm not the only one having those issues.
I've played 6 and half years for the Red Sox, half year with the Marlins and now I'm on the Giants with my 99 OVR SS. We have always had great offenses, top 5 almost every year, but all those years we also had bottom 5 pitching staff. It's so annoying because even a 8-run lead is not safe and you're always fighting to stay just a couple games above .500.
The absolute worst was a year when the pitching staff was great for 3 months and we were like 20-25 games above .500 and then it suddenly became one of the worst staffs of the league for the last 2 months, we barely won the division and lost in the ALCS allowing countless runs.
I have won every award possible but I haven't even reached 1 World Series yet. So frustrating.

I changed my mind, yeah it’s kinda rigged. I have aerial assault equipped. Ground balls or pop flies are impossible when runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Just had 3 games in a row where the boost was in effect. Went 0-3 with a grounder and 2 fly outs.

I think it’s rigged. I’m playing the show 20. I finished 2021 season with 135 homeruns and the next year 2022 I barely have any power. I’m just getting singles and doubles or i’m flying out in the outfield.

You got 135 homers in one season? You can’t be playing on anything besides Rookie or Veteran with those numbers. How do you even have fun?

When the get your [censored] kicked by everyteam algorithm kicks in i simply close mlbthe show and restart, sometimes you need to do it offline, and get a different algorithm.

I'll start by saying this: it's entirely possibly that I just suck.
But.
Why is it as soon as I begin playing for a team in RTTS (I'm a SS anomoly) they team immediately begins giving up 3-6 runs in the firtlst three innings, can't hold a lead for anything, and the rest of my lineup is just worthless?
I'm playing for the red Sox. Year 7 of RTTS. 4 pitchers in the high 80s ovr to low 90s. All of them have ERAs in the mid sixes to high 8s.
Only one other player has a BA above.300 (Bogart) were 4 games under 500 woth a lineup that includes Bogarts, myself (99 ovr, 99 pwr, 80+contact), Alonso, Yelich at the heart with Odor (as a 90) batting 9th.Half of my games, I'm down by 3-6 runs before I even step to the plate once. It seems like another 1/4 of my games, we struggle, fight back to tie it up or take the lead late just for the other team to pop another 5 runs on the board.
Weve only won two series' all season, and the team I previously played for (Seattle) with no changes to their line up or pitching staff (other than me) are 8 game above 500 while for 3 seasons with the team, the closest we ever got was 10 under (in my first year there.)
Something feels way off.

It's just timing. I go through slumps as well. I'm on Legend and average about 60+ homers a year. Have won multiple triple crowns in the AL and NL. It's a lot of fun.
Legend with guess pitch and directional.

That is why they have levels and sliders. Some people like to have a monster and others like a challenge. Just because you wouldn't have fun hitting 135 HR somebody else would. RTTS is a fantasy mode so don't be critical of others on what they enjoy.

Yes it cheats 3 game series with the 19th best team contact 28th power 26th and they hit 9 home runs averaged 10 runs a game. our pitching 11th in league. No matter what team I go on as soon as the first year I'm there is done the team sucks at pitching no matter where they are ranked.
