Will there be a lightning card? And if so will they expect us to have bought all the players in the Topps pack for the collection?

I think it is safe to say that nobody knows yet.
At this stage though it would not surprise me to see a Lightning Program but also a lightning pack where you can have a 1 in 5 chance to pull that lightning player at the cost of 30,000 stubs

Yes there will be lightning players I think they said drop 4 and drop 8 will include a lightning player

The collection is there. Says something about it. Looks like you only need the final card but can’t see how they wouldn’t make you buy packs at some point for it.

Collect Season Awards program players each week to earn Lightning Season Awards players coming after Drop 4 and Drop 8.
What remains to be seen is what the card total will be for those lightning players. Will you be forced to get some or all of the Season Award Pack cards?
They released, if memory serves me 9 cards today and the current collection shows.
Collect 2 - Jelly Bean Pack
Collect 6 - Ballin is a Habit Pack
Collect 10 - Jumbo Show Pack.So, todays free drops can't even get you to the second tier. If they add 4 more free ones next week that won't even get you to tier 3.
Something to think about.

@Dolenz thats whats happens when so many people complain about progression and overalls moving to fast sds rarely fixes anything correctly and almost always overdoes it with stuff like this
