Catchers not signaling what pitch to throw

So I just played my first game of MLB the show 24 and during my first play through when pitching I didn’t see the catcher giving me signal to what pitch I should throw with his fingers. Is that new for this year edition of the game or is that a glitch?

That’s because mlb uses comms now. If you watch him carefully, you’ll see his mitt covers his hand as he pushes the button on his transmitter.

Lol. No. If you have CPU suggestions on, the pitch type and location (image of a mitt, I believe) will flash on the screen.
