Exporting players on roster update

So I bought early access to start working on my roster control. I understand why I had to wait for the Korea games to get players like matsui(padres) and Yamamoto(dodgers) my question is why was I able to export Matsui back to the roster I originally started working on but not Yamamoto. Neither had a face scan before so if I can do one of them I should be able to do both.
