What gives with this slow motion fielding moment? There's a 'L' prompt going on, she reaches down to field the ball, there's a pink circle timeout thing, I'm moving the L1 stick, pressing buttons... Is this a RTTS thing? I feel like I have some RTTS setting off somewhere.

There are several threads about this and you’re correct it’s a setting called showtime that can be changed out. One post even gave the exact sequence of buttons I just can’t remember which one but should show in a search

@bimblekay Thank you for bringing this up. This is the only Moment I can’t complete in Storylines (which are fantastic) as I am not a RTTS player and don’t know what buttons to press or the timing. It looks like, on PS, it’s L1 then O but everytime even if timing appears good the ball gets thrown away for an error.

Going to try again, I will update here if successful. -
Move the glove, with the left joystick towards the ball. When the button icon shows up in that glove; press that button. That fields the ball. If it's done successfully you'll then get a sequence where you have to press the corresponding buttons to throw the ball.

@x814xmafia Yeah, got the first two, seems if I get to the ball quickly I'll get X rather than square or circle. Then the next sequence goes by so quickly I time out. Is that second sequence the same order every time? Is it all 4 buttons in some order? This is not fun...

Not sure of the sequence. I know there is also a Jeter like this one.

Exactly same issue I’m having, lol. Can’t figure out the button order, lol.

As far as I can tell the button sequence for the throw is random. I can get the throw off but it never makes it into the first baseman’s glove in time, the moment is over. Frustrating to say the least.

@spyder83 Finally got this, the button sequence on the throw is random, it doesn’t seem how you execute the pickup of the ball affects the throw sequence. You have to be quick on the throw, barely enough time to pull it off.

I move towards the ball and she botched the fielding every time

It's the dumbest thing. Doesn't matter your settings. Made it overly difficult for no reason

Overly difficult? Its literally a 4 or 5 button sequence. Timing doesnt matter as long as its completed before the circle runs out.

I don't understand any of the posts about the moments. I feel like it was literally the dumbest easiest moment ever. I did each one first time, and was so caught off guard. I feel like I stared at the screen and was like "what are those buttons... Oh I get it" and still had time to do it.
