MLB The Show 24 Coop still has freezes and freeze offs!

I cannot believe this is like the third year in a row that this is a problem. Does anyone know if the devs have even acknowledged that they're aware of it? If the devs actually monitor these forums, can you at least state that you know it's an issue and are working on it?
It's ridiculous. A few years ago if you asked me what sports game is the most polished, I would have said easily MLB the Show. But not anymore. Not even close.

They literally have had the exact same setup since it first launched. Freezing, I don’t like the fact I can’t use the cards I want to use not who they are picking for us. I will play battle royale for that. Also you still can’t set your lineup BEFORE you go into a match and have to scramble and rush to try to get everything setup. They didn’t even try and that’s disappointing.

@soonermagic78 agreed they just copy and pasted same game mode with freezing and everything. should have pitchers stamina drain game to game like regular seasons too so you dont face the same pitchers over and over again. they just put zero effort into anything its super disappointing

It’s been the same for 3 years now. They added rewards last year and that’s it. It’s crazy we get all these cards and captains but we can only pick 3 position players and 3 pitchers which makes the captains non existent. We should be able to pick a team set the lineup but we can’t. The game will put players in positions you don’t want or put the best defender on the bench or dh and when you match up against someone you have to scramble around and hurry to try to get everything right before the opponent backs out cause it’s taking a minute.

Yeah all of that would be nice but I'd rather they prioritize getting the game to work right before adding new stuff.

I just got a 12 hour cool down for dashboarding after a freeze off. my buddy for a 30 minute cooldown, why is mine 12 hours? over something i can't control? that's insanity.

@chattertonch_MLBTS That's been the most frustrating thing here as well. Feels like the quitting penalties got harsher or at the least more random this year. Meanwhile, the game still freezes just as much as last year.
My friend and I have found that if we completely quit and restart the game after each online match, we never encounter the freezing issue. It's a tad annoying but at least it lets us play the game without any more quitting penalties.

@Grave-Arbitar Yea someone from SDS needs to address this. I don't hate the idea of quitting penalties because so many people quit out of games. But if the game doesn't work in the first place then you can't have the quitting cooldowns. They are punishing us and not letting us play the game because their game is broken and freezes. Makes absolutely no sense.

Played 1 co-op game last night first of the year. (tried to) left handed pitcher was throwing right hand and not even the right player that was actually throwing the ball. 3 pitchers later the game froze 3-4 years.. Years and it’s legit the same prob I never talk bad about developers or the game because I understand it’s hard to make game but years with the same prob your guys are legit bad developers. You know about this on going issue again for year but again ignore it . I’m legit thinking about refunding the game.

Getting a refund is totally fair. But I really don't think it has to do with the skills of the developers. They clearly know how to make an incredible and well-polished game (considering MLB the Show 21 and before were incredible and bug-free). I believe its more of an issue of prioritization. They only have so much time and they choose to prioritize new game modes and storylines instead of fixing existing game modes that are borderline unplayable. -

@LookatTheRhino lmfao buddy I didn’t pay 100 dollars to take free losses. The game legit has game breaking bugs for 3 straight years that is not address I thought it be little better this year but no it actually might be worse

Well that’s on you for spending the 100 to sit for hours waiting for the opponents to quit during freeze offs. I would rather lose and go to the next game to actually play lol records don’t matter it’s innings so idk plus the cooldown isn’t gonna stop ppl from playing ranked coop.

How have they not fixed this or even addressed this issue after it being a constant problem for years…get rid of cool down penalty who cares if someone quits…

@LookatTheRhino if you back out of a freeze off in co op you get cooldowned from 30 minutes - 3 days. so you can’t even play.

Party up with a non cooldown friend and have them invite you to a coop ranked match when they’re in the coop screen. They can invite the cooldown person through the party and it’ll bypass the cooldown. The game is broken and ppl shouldn’t have to have a cooldown for a bad connection or the game freezing.

@LookatTheRhino never heard this fix but that is good to know. It would be nice if SDS would just acknowledge the issue and let us know they are working on it. They probably dont even realize it is a problem

@igniteXIII A little annoying but if you quit out of the game before each online match, you'll stop having freezes. Not sure why it works. All I know is I haven't had a freeze in over a week thanks to this method
