All of a sudden I can't hit...at all
-
I switched from SZ to Zoom hitting view and it helped a bit. Still though, it's a [censored] s--tshow these days
-
I get "Good/Okay" constantly on balls that are in the inside PCI. I'm starting to wonder what the PCI even means at this point. I assumed getting the ball inside the center PCI meant good contact. Apparently it does not. Which leads me to wonder what exactly qualifies as Good or Perfect contact if it's not getting the ball in the center ring.
-
Game plays like [censored]. Hard af to square up and when you do you get good okay feedback, pitches go wherever they feel like and diamond outfielders just let the ball smash them straight in the face. I’m close to saying 18 was better except I hated the content more than I’ve ever hated anything in my life.
-
I just scored 2 in an all star game against Ohtani. I have scored more than that in most of my event games.
-
I’m in the same boat. Can’t hit to save my life in RS (on HOF). The weird thing is that I’m hitting fine in Events.

Don’t you hate when the ball is the middle and it’s says okay contact ? Lol and when your pci is barely on the ball and it says good ? Hahaha
-
I still believe speeds were raised as well. The feedback isn’t making sense right now, most every swing is good okay no matter where I’m the pci the ball is. My online batting average has dropped from .340 to .270.
-
Patience is the key. Move the PCI less and look for meatballs down the middle. If you have to move the PCI as far as it will go you likely won’t be hitting the ball well anyway.
-
I'm starting to wonder if there's something going on with my connection. I was 8-3 and since then I've lost 7 straight. Back to regular season which I think should be on veteran, right? And I'm still getting blown away by fastballs. I dont know what's going on. I'm bad, but I'm not this bad.
-
Im TOO Early on fastballs and then somehow VERY Late on offspeed, games a shitshow
-
All experienced Show players know that u always have ur good days and bad days. Sometimes u have to step away from it and get ur mind and eyes right. Ever notice somedays ur crushing it and then one day u cant catch the fastball everything seems so [censored] fast and untouchable?
Its the strain and exhaustion if the eyes
I bought gunner gamer glasses and let me tell you its a game changer -
I can't hit either.
Hitting some good and okays, but almost always an out.
I've switched from strike zone to offset zoom and strike zone 3, but no real luck. Switched between monitor and a tv on game mode with a wired connection and I'm still late on mid to high 90s fastballs.
I'm just depressed at this point with playing the game. Took a break for a day or two and played something else.
Came back and still can barely manage a run a game.
I'm thinking of giving directional another go. I know zone gives you the most control and is supposed to make you the most competitive, but I'm close to quitting this game completely at this point.

I recently turned 35 and I guess I'm just at that age where I can't consistently hit the fastball. I have to sell out for it. I'm even late at times on AS which just blows my mind. I guess I need to hit the virtual practice field and face Chapman for an hour.
Current RS record is 23-2 and it is the most misleading record out there. Last night I wore an L in 13 innings facing Vida/Kluber/Hal. So basically everyone threw 100 with nasty secondary pitches. I scored 3 runs in the 1st inning then proceeded to score 0 over the next 12. I even managed to not score with bases loaded and 0 outs in the bottom of the 11th.
I absolutely suck. I have to completely sell out for fastballs and even when I'm looking for them I'm late. I don't know if there's a solution because then everyone will crush the ball. I just have to get better/practice.
I might stack my lineup with all RHB or switch hitters though. Lefty/lefty I just can't hit on HOF.

when I heard about the outlier quirk I took the time to practice against the high velo guys with this quirk on hall of fame and legend.

Same here. Average player. Have always had a winning record, still technically do but only because I’m probably above average in pitching. I can’t hit a [censored] thing right now. Swing and missing at balls in the zone way more than ever. I feel like something has changed with the timing or something. Idk I’ll keep plugging away hopefully I’ll figure it out.
-
Something has definitely changed. Before patches 1.04 and 1.05 I was 8-3 in RS and right around .500 in the last event. I was getting hits and scoring runs, even if i lost.
The last week or so i cant hit anything, I've fallen back to regular season in ranked and i still cant hit anything.
For the first time since I started DD in 17 I'm about to quit playing, it's just not fun anymore.
-
Something changed in Events for sure. I've had so many 5,6, hell even a 9 inning events 1-0 game! LOL.
I'm late on sliders now that I could always at least foul off.
-
i got no-hit (now it was vs Oswalt), BUT i had several good/good, a handful of good/squared up, and many good/okay...i've even tried switching to directional (trying ANYTHING right now) and then the next game i only got 2 hits...tried a 3rd game and only had 1 hit thru 3 innings and just quit...gonna try again today i guess...i did try challenge of the week and actually did decent for me
Cheers to all. I feel your pain
-
I'm not gonna complain about hit results. Honestly they aren't bad IMO
I'm just losing my reaction time or something. I'm about to go get my eye's checked and finally use this vision policy I have. Maybe my eyes are losing it lol
-
It's not ALL of you, it's the game. Don't blame your eyes, your age, tv versus monitor. The game is broke.
I filed a bug report last night. I played a 13 inning game, the guy was using gold Saberhagen and never went to the pen. Even with zero energy he threw nothing but dots. I had my PCI on the ball with good timing on the curve ball at least 8 times. I swung and missed, not even a foul ball?
In the 10th inning I switched to directional hitting, still I couldn't even foul balls off.
I struck out 20 times, I struck him out 30 times!
There were 9 total hits, and he won on the now expected OF decides to check his text messages just as the ball falls on his head glitch.
I've quit playing until they at least attempt to fix something.
